I can't say for sure but I do know my detroit locker hardly ever unlocks due to my wolfe role bar and when it does unlock its at weird times. I just want the simplicity of the locker.

Ren, I had a 9" once upon a time with a spool. Loved it. Got rid of it due to desperate times, but another will be under it very soon. I'd take it over a 12 bolt any day. Not cause of anything bad about it, I just like the idea of pulling the center out and setting up the gears while standing lol. Another thing, is most 12 bolts are setup just like a 10 bolt. They have the TA mounted in the same location, and the force that a M6 puts on that specific spot will tear up a 12 bolt as well. All in all, a 9" is just simple and easy to me.

Strange addresses this issue with their 12 bolt housing as opposed to Moser's more POS castings.

i had a Detroit locker for free and sold it once i Drove two locker cars both were m6 one 12 bolt one 9 inch. hated so went spool and would never go any other way. I have $2100 in mine shipped 35 spline moser axles,35 spline cm spool, strange s case with billet support. Would of bolted right up if they would of drilled the holes right size. one holes were drill just as easy as stock. i have quick performance. plus ive seen a lot of 12 bolts and 9 inch guys with posi and locker spine one wheel. no need to rebuild a spool and your half the weight

I'll most likely be ordering another 9" within the month along with a new DS. This one will be spooled as well. Most likely gonna go with 4.11's again, but I'm considering 4.30's. Just wondering how much shorter 1st gear will be on the street? I know with the current 4.10's and previous 4.11's it's almost pointless to be in first. Either way, she's about to be back to where she was. This is exciting to me!!

I could never get past 15 mph in first with 4.10's. I'd imagine it'd be around 10-12 with 4.30's.

My 26.6 tire and 6800 rev and 4.30s is 47mph with 4.10s would be 49mph so 2mph. Glad i went with them. Glad ren talked me out of 4.11s

With the autos, the gear converter only works when talking about the converter being locked. If you are at WOT and unlocked, factor in a 10% reduction to be on the safe side to cover for converter slip.

Shane, sorry I couldn't make it out tonight.....remind me to never do an LT1>LS1 engine swap in the WINTER I hate LT1s but damn, it woulda been so much easier to keep the boat anchor

Yeah that turbo loves those gears. Stall tires i hope to see some low low 11s go up to 8psi and tens! Hello your not even in boost till like after or right at 60' you would be in full boost right off the line with those parts and your gears and stronger then others and help traction.

Talking She's Back!!

After pretty much a month of waiting on parts, weather, and weekends, I finally got her put back together. She ain't pretty, but her lines are much straighter than they were before. Can't wait to get it to the paint shop.

Yeah all the parts fit really well. There's some sharp edges from being cut from the mold I guess, but nothing that can't be smoothed out really easy. I'll let the body shop do it. I still gotta shift the hood over some, but it only needs about a 1/4"

Gonna get the ss3600 tomorrow and ordering a b&m cooler soon. Anyone know where I can get this installed, or want to help? SI said $450.00. I'm trying not to go that route, but I don't have the knowledge to do it myself.
