Sorry it's took me this long to give a update. We tested on the 28's this past Monday. I battled low voltage most of the day and my laptop wouldn't communicate with my nitrous controller. The nitrous (200 shot) was coming on at about the 100' mark which made my 60' at 1.7 average which is basically on motor. I ran several 10.2's @ 144 mph. I've fixed the laptop communication problem (wrong comport). I'm dropping it off at Vengeance Racing today. They are going to fix the voltage problem and install a dedicated fuel tank and pump from Nitro Daves for the nitrous. We are going to rent Atlanta Dragway again on Nov 10 to try a 250 & 300 shot. Then we will be at Pinks All Out in Montgomery AL on Nov 13,14,15

I've got aftermarket coilovers on all four courners. Hank Hill of Hooked Up And Gone Racing is having Roush Racing build some custom shocks

Keith, just to confirm.....you are running a plat kit and not a DP??? I am assuming this is a wet setup? Could just be me, but are you worried about equal distribution spraying that much on a plate setup? I would assume you will upgrading to a DP when you decide to spray 250~300?

Nitrous Outlet 90mm Wet plate... For now... We have checked plugs after almost every pass and they all look spot on.. We will keep our eye on things with the 250 pills, but will eventually going to a direct port AND plate system for a dual stage... 250 direct port/150 plate should make for an interesting ride grabbing gears

Suspension currently consists of:

Pfadt Racing Coil Overs
Pfadt Racing Rear "Pfatty" Sway Bar
Front Sway Bar Delete

As Keith said Hank Hill of "Hooked Up and Gone" will be doing a set of double adjustable drag shocks for the car in the coming weeks...

Monday was a bust without being able to dial in the FJO, but stay tuned we will be back at the track in two weeks

Looks like the Pfadt has worked pretty well so far. I might be going that direction.

So are you going back to a leaf spring w/ the double adjustables?

Ron, Keep a close eye on #7 and #8 they will be the first ones to tell you when you get close to the edge on the tune up.

Good luck !

#7 is always the first to come out .... Gonna ditch the TR6s and go to TR8s for some added insurance.

Thanx Wayne

Nitrous could skew things, but on the setup in my sig....plugs 5, 7, and 6 are always the "leaner" reading plugs. All the others look nearly identical.

I just did the DP and plate but have not tried it. Should be one hell of a ride.

Interseting.... your right every set up is a little different but every intake with a forward facing TB that I have had on my car (LS6, fast 78, fast 90, Sheetmetal) has had lean issues with the back 2 holes 7 & 8.
There are alot of "fixes" for it but like Ron said #7 and 8 always come out first. I base the tune off of those 2 plugs as they are always the leanest for me.

Thanks. Not sure on the voltage yet. We took the alternator off at the track and had it tested. The auto parts store said it was good but I'm not so sure I trust them.

Ron,
You guys are doing a great job showing what our plate can do. I have used our plate many times for a 300 shot. As long as the port work on the heads and intake are ringht the tune up is on and you are reading the plugs no problem....

When you start reading the plugs if you start seeing a point where the back ones are running leaner you can run a one step coldeer plug in those cylinders as well as play with the over all airfuel. Its ok if the other cylinders are alittle richer as long as its not to bad.

This is the only option with out going directport..

Since you are seeing no signs of those cylinders burning hotter now I am willing to bet 250-300 is no problem...

Dave

Thanks for the info and all the support you guys provide Dave. We had already discussed doing the direct port after Pinks. It's a done deal as far as I'm concerned. Come first of the year we should have one bad *** gear grabbing Z06.
