Ill be installing a ractronic hotwire kit as well to maintain pressure. The pump is only 2 months old and has maybe 300 miles on it. Also any more tips to try and make this thing live? Octane, spark plugs, activation rpm

If you have the ability to tune then all you would need is a tank, a nozzle, a N2O solenoid, a momentary switch, a relay, and a couple of N2O lines. It would be less than $300 in parts. ( dry system )

With that many miles on the engine there is a worry of clogged coolant passages. If you have some then hot-spots and detonation is more likely.

Don't try to run spark plugs of stock heat range when spraying that much. A racing style plug with a short & wide ground strap is best.

I'm not going to say what's going to happen or make any claims for others to argue over here, but if you run a wet system hitting it off the line and have an intake explosion/fire just don't say that nobody recommended a dry system.

Already have a fully functional zex dry kit on the car now. Everyone is steering me away from the dry kit.

Oh yeah I see. Well I certainly wouldn't steer anyone away from running dry systems.
I see you already have some autolite plugs. Take a look at their racing type plugs. I don't know which style your heads use but it should take either an AR-12 (taper seat), or an AR-51 (flat w/washer).

two stages are def safer. if your gonna bring it in at a higher rpm you can get away with more. it all depends on how well maintaned that bottem end is. you can wear out an engine in not many miles at all or keep um tickin forever. like said earlier we sprayed a 175 wet shot forever on a stock bottem end lt1. with a hotcam and regular street tires (255 bfg sports) it went 11.88. i think you can safely go into the 11's if your bottem end is sound. but its on the border line of safe so make shure your ducks are in a row

I'm sure the pump will be fine, just monitor fuel pressure, what i would invest in is a good ignition box like the Mallory 685, or the MSD Dig.6, this way you have a window switch, rpm activation for the nitrous, i would set it up to come on @ 3000 & shut off @ 56-5700, this way you play it safer, a 2 stage is a good way too go, but not dry/wet, they do make controllers also, but then your getting into the $$$ when it all adds up, i'm going with a 100 shot (nozzle) on my LT1, it has 159000 miles, i'm sure it'll be fine on that, but with a 200 shot, this is what i would start off with.

Plate system (wet) single stage
685 Mallory box
50/50 mix on premium/unleaded race fuel.
at least 6-8* timing pulled when activated
2-3 steps colder plug, gapped @ .033-.035
check fuel pressure, make sure its around 45-46 lbs. (reg. disconnected), it wouldn't hurt getting an adjustable reg., thats what i did, they come in handy.
Get jets for 150/175/200 shot, this way you can go up in stages.

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt getting larger injectors for the 200 shot, get on the horn & call the guys @ Nitrous Outlet, they are very helpful, & have all the stuff you'll need.
