Default 200shot + Stock LS1?

I've been running a 150shot for almost a year now and have had absolutely no problems. I've been trying to do some research but i'm not quite finding what i'm looking for. I'm looking for some info an thoughts from some people that know what they're talking about. Will a stock internal LS1 handle a 200shot?

im sure it will, but not for very long, i would just build it, that way you wouldn't have to worry about it,

the stock bottom end can handle it, thats usually not the problem. When you step up to that size you need to do some upgrading to your fuel system. First would be upgrading your stock fuel pump to something like the walbro and hotwire kit. Other probelms you will have are volume issues. With a dedicated fuel cell you wont have any problems at all. A lot of people have problems running a 200 shot off the stock rails. It is possible to run that size shot, you just need to be aware of the risks. I would also recommend colder plugs, better fuel and pull plenty of timing

^i'm currently running TR6's for plugs and next on my list for mods was going to be a walbro, injectors, rails, fast 90/90 and MS3 cam. Besides the cam and intake, is that going to be good enough for supporting mods? along with a spot on tune.

My LS1 has about 80k miles on it. The heads have never been off the car, nor the oil pan. I spray 150 religiously. And have recently been spraying 200 through it. I've got a Nitro Daves stand alone with 108 in it and a Nitro Daves plate. Everything works great, and I've yet to have any issues at all. When I went to the 200 shot, I went from TR6's to Autolites version of the TR8's, which is actually a half step colder than the TR8's. I also pulled a little more timing. How long will it last????? I dunno. We'll find out.

FYI, you generally don't need bigger fuel injectors for a wet shot. Just a bigger fuel pump, or a stand alone w/ it's own fuel pump.

That's what I was always worried about when I ran 200 off the rail, and was a factor in me deciding to go 2 stage. I know the 255 can handle the volume of the shot, but was worried about the sudden draw starving the rails.

when you tuned it on the 150 what was afr just wondering.... also what are your nitrous/fuel jet sizes?? a 200 is doable but i would only do it with a standalone with TR8's and maybe spray it no lower than 3500rpm...

i cant remember what the afr's were, i'll have to find my dyno sheets and look because i know everything was printed off. Also i'd have to look at the jet sizes cuz i dont know off the top of my head.

You need to have a great fuel setup to do it properly.
Nitrous needs fuel and a lot of it.

I say a standalone fuel system and one step colder than TR6 plugs would be ok.
I could see a 200 shot with a standalone and COLD plugs lasting a long time.
