Default 125 or 150 shot?

I'm already running 100 shot (nitrous outlet system), its getting old quick lol, its been tuned by Madtuner for the bottle, timing is at stock with 2* coming out @ WOT, i was going to try a 125 shot, but was told just jump to 150, now all i have around here is 91 octane, should i use a mix? I have a walbro 255 pump, TR6 plugs, they are burning really nice on the 100 shot. So, 125 or 150?

150 and get a timing tuner box to pull out more timing. Pull about 1 more degree or 2 to be safe.

Yeah, i was wondering about the timing, i would like to pull 2 more degrees, whats the cheapest timing box that i can get for it?

On another note, i did notice my temps dropped about 15-20* on a full run, is this a good thing, i'm thinking it is.

The walboro pump with out the hotwire will support around 500 rear wheel hp.

I do not see any reason you should need to run race gas for the 150. You do need to remove timming. There are a few options. You can either have a tuner do it through your pcm or purchase a timming controller so you can run max NA tuning.

I would not concentrate on what the cheapest option is. I would concentrate on what is the most reliable since this could be the difference of life and death to the engine. There are only 3 current timming controllers I would trust on my car.

My first choice would be the lingerfelter timming controller with two step.

My other two options would either be the MSD timing twister or the full throttle timing tunner.

You can read up on all three on our website.

You do not trust the timing tuner that HSW sells?

I prefer the methods these units use to pull timming. It is more precise and reliable. Everyone has there own expectations and opinions. These are mine.

Here's my opinion to everyone in this thread, be careful who's advice you seek as a few particular parties do not understand the full range of certain products and their capabilities and are generally sales driven. I have a feeling these parties confuse certain methods as a cheap $5 resistor mod which I can assure you it is not. Matter of fact, simply hook up a scan tool and watch the timing being pulled every single time. It'll put a grin on your face over and over .

I've asked nay-sayers this question a few times and I've yet to receive an answer.

Again, this is just my opinion.

Nick, For arguement sake I will just leave it at we have different ideals on the best way and most reliable way of doing things.

That is my answer.

I dunno, I don't necessarily mind a friendly technical discussion if you're up for it.

150 shot. I would make sure you have a wideband though. The jets I was recommended by my tuner and on any jet chart were way too lean for my car. I needed to step up about 6 sizes on the fuel side. Without a wideband I probably would have blown it up. For pulling timing, I use the Mallory Digital Hyfire box and it works great. I don't think it shows up in the PCM for logging though. Whereas the box that HSW does in fact show up on a scan tool. To each their own but it works well for what I want it to do.
