Default Any tuning tricks to getting a dry shot

I started working on a 98 Corvette with a 100 dry shot, edelbrock heads, fast intake and decent cam. Problem is I can't get the car to make a clean pull on the jug. Car makes 502rwhp on the motor, when I turn the nitrous on it just breaks up. Car pulls fine until the nitrous kicks in, MAF HZ goes through the roof(13000-13500) engine starts breaking up. I raised the MAF fail HZ and played with fuel and timing and just can't get it to pull clean. The car has fresh TR6 plugs gapped @ .032.

502 rwhp probably shouln't be on a 6 definatly not on the juice. Get some 8's in at least. thats not your issue though. is the car adding fuel? can you see it in the data log? did you watch the fuel pressure? If you put the fuel in manuall will it make apull? 21 shot is roughly 30 lbs of fuel/hour. what do the plugs look like when it bucks?

Might have the nozzle to close to the MAF.

Nozzle placement can make a big difference when you use the MAF to fuel it.

Try turning it a little or moving it back some.(or both)

I agree, I don't like the TR6's in there either. What's the maf showing in grams per second?

I think the nozzle is too close to the MAF thinking about it today. As soon as the nitrous hits the MAF frequency goes through the roof and it breaks up. It looks like the nozzle is 1.5" away from the MAF.

Here is whats done to the engine
Bone stock bottom end
Edelbrock heads
232/238 cam
Fast intake
90mm TB
Vararam
1 3/4" long tubes
full exhaust

I'd say move it back about 1.5-2 inches and try it, if its lean then move it a little closer.

I think you're right that it's way too rich. You didn't meantion injector size but I'm guessing it's much higher than stock. Adding 100hp is nothing to a 500hp engine so it won't need that much enrichment.

We used to start with the nozzle center about 2" toward motor from center. then move it forward or backward to get the a/f correct.
