Yea it sounds like it sprayed instantly when you hit the micro sw, just long enough for an intake full of n2o only and thus the backfire. If it's the newer digital style MSD, yes they are known to be troublesome, but the pill style seems ok. When you get it back together make sure you disconnect the lines and then check for when it activates.
Here's a question that may shed light on the sticking noid issue. Did the rpms come up when you blipped it, then the back fire after you let off?

The micro swithch is there to activate the system and runs to a MSD digital window switch. The system should not have made a closed circuit until the rpm's hit at least 3,000 rpm's in the window switch. I have ran this same setup for 2+ years and never even had a hick-up! MUST HAVE BEEN THE W/S. I'm going to sell the nitrous and go with a 451 cu in from LME to compensate for the nitrous removal so this will NEVER happen again.

Wow. Sorry to see this. Something electrical deffintly was wrong. Even if you hit the microswitch and the car was staying steady at the 3000 rpm range it should have not sprayed unless you had the toggle switch activated.
Yes you can send us your solenoids and we will check it out for you. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

Even if the window switch is bad, that still didn't answer my Q. WHY DID YOU HIT THE MICROSWICH AT IDLE. What did you think it was going to do? Were you testing something? Just think, if you didn't hit the switch what would the car look like now? And how much money would you have spent fixing it? Learn a lesson here don't do stupid **** just because you can.

If i own it i can do what i please..... It's almost like; is the bottle half full or half empty? BOTTOM LINE IS IT SHOULD NOT HAVE SPRAYED UNTIL IT WAS WITHIN THE WINDOW SWITCH RPM'S.
