Using higher octane on Nitrous Fuel Supply
I couldn't find what I was looking for, so heres my post.
Vehicle and mods:
LS2 GTO
MSD timing Twister
Nitrous Outlet Window/TPS switch
-6 Nitrous feed line
NX iceman solenoids
Dual Shark Foggers /w Ntirous outlet SHO lines
For fuel, I am using a small custom modded RCI fuel cell,an external walbro 255HP pump, to an Aeromotive Regulator with all with -6 line.
The Car traps 112mph with bolt ons. My goal is 125mph.
So I'm pretty set on the 200shot.
My question is, I would like to run higher octane, Leaded 110 in the fuel cell for the nitrous.
If anyone has done this, what is your experiance with timing, IE how much did you retard compared to regular 93octane, and did it affect your fuel jetting?
I'm still up in the air with spark plugs. I figured to go with the reliable TR6s, but some people have commented that NGK has changed the plug?
And finally, anyone want to share their experiance spraying 175+ on a stock motor LS2?
Wish me luck
I think your 125mph goals are modest. Mine stock w. N20 trapped 124, so you should be well above that.
Are you M6 or A4? My A4, because didn't last even one season.

One thing I noticed was I had one clogged cat after using leaded in the stand alone for 1 year. I find it hard to believe the such little leaded gas would effect the cat, but maybe it did.
Are you still running cats?
