That's a poor example to demonstrate the Nano. He bumped up his fuel jet and that's what created the majority of the power increase. I'm sure weather conditions played a part too.

Nitrous doesn't make power, fuel makes power

You have to bump up the fuel jet to compensate for the extra nitrous pressure the Nano creates.

No NO NO!!!!!

Nano is a a nitrogen push system. It allows you to maintain constent pressure all the way through your run.... and all the way through your bottle.

It replaces your bottle heater and is far more effective at maintaining ideal bottle pressure.

It doesn't raise your initial bottle pressure... It prevents a drop in pressure.

For the record, I think it is an excellent system and really like mine. It allows you to get maximum use out of every bottle (no longer have to waste that last 2-3#s....

Plus... It just looks so SICK in my back seat

True, but Nitrous (N2O) allows for more oxygen available during combustion... Remember, you need the Oxygen in order to add more fuel in order to make more power (otherwise, you just add fuel and run rich).

Wouldn't it be nice if we could just "bump up our fuel jet" and add power without having to worry about porting heads/IM/TB ext.

However, I would be suprised if a nano kit is worth 3/4 tenths. It does allow for more consistent nitrous delivery than regulating the pressure by increasing the bottle temperature.

The significance of the benfit depends on how big of a shot you are running and how much nitrous is left in your bottle. As the bottle gets empty, it becomes more difficult to regulate pressure via temperature (at least with the relatively small bottle heaters).

I have the 4,500 kit in my Jeep, but haven't used it yet. The jets supplied by Nitrous Outlet for their plate were based on a specific and nitrous and fuel pressure. The Nano kit maintains a higher pressure than what most nitrous manufactureres recommend, including Nitrous Express, hence the larger fuel jets. It's that simple, no magic at all. More nitrous pressure means more oxygen in the combustion chamber, which requires more fuel unless you want a melt down.

Ok.... I also have a kit and the pressure is maintained at the ideal pressure. My kit is over a year old, so maybe they changed it, but I own the standard 15# kit.

The nano kit is supposed to be fit to your bottle size. What size bottle are you running?

Anyhow, even if it does raise the pressure on some kits.... you should adjust the size of your jet to accomodate a higher bottle pressure.

I believe the operating pressure of my 4,500 kit is 1,000 psi. My response was directed toward the guy that commented on how increasing fuel jets increases power, but is independent of oxygen.
