When I installed my nitrous setup. I went from tr55's to br7's. I know that is the right plug to run when on the 150 shot. But my na power went down 20rwhp. I talked to some people and they say 2 step colder plugs can cause a car to be down on power na, is there any truth to that?

well, ive used tr6 for a long time in a lot of cars. like i said on the street cars esp my vett i run the tr6 do to the way the car ran. didnt idle very good, just didnt like it and never had an issue. but for track duty i run the other style plug and it depends on amount of spray weather i use 6, 7 or 8 or 9 etc.

That's a ton of power to lose just from plugs. I'd be willing to bet the temp/humidity/something else caused the loss.

I go driving around for weeks and months on end without spraying on the BR7EF's and have yet to foul one....

Right on...good info! Does it run any rougher at idle? Worse gas mileage?

havent noticed a difference. My car runs rough to begin with so if the plug change ever did make a idle difference, I would have trouble knowing. I am a MS3 cam on a 112lsa.

Ill just start with a br6... if I don't like how it acts, ill stick the tr6's in. with the sumi
315's , I only plan on spraying part of 2nd and 3rd gear anyways... Its just a weekend driver, lucky if it will see a track 2 times a season. Don't really want to go crazy with this car since its such low mi... I would like to build a drag car one of these years tho.
