Default LT1 + Nitrous = ?

Is anyone running a 175-200 shot on a stock bottomend LT1? Im running a 150 wet NX kit now. Looking to try to get another tenth or two.

lose weight. I know I wouldn't want to run a 200 shot on an LT1. I know people have done it before, but I'd stick with a 100-150.

Do a search for Pyro719 and my name you will find alot of info about spraying an LT1 with a 200 shot. I will tell you it prob wont last very long unless you have it set-up pretty good. I did mine on a 2 stage direct-port I ran a 175 shot for awhile never hurt anything but its always a chance it will. If you have any specific questions just let me know there is alot of knowledgeable people on this board they will give you good info!

I have sprayed a 175 for 2 years and countless drag passes (6.6's @ 103 in the 1/8th) with stock bottom end. It can be done if you are safe with it. The setup was carb'd and it was a wet plate setup.

I have a mallory ingnition box with timing retard for nitrous. The car has seen countless 150 shots at the track and on the street. What do I need to do to run a 175-200 shot "Safely"LOL?

Well to run safe I would make sure your fuel system was up to par. Have the right spark plugs in and back the timing down also run some higher octane I always used E-85 or E-100 when I spray one time I did use 118 leaded didnt notice much of a difference just had to lean it out some for it. Monitor your A/F ratio and maybe break it up into a 2 stage bringing the second stage in on the higher rpm's to help out some. I am sure there is more but that is acouple things off the top of my head. I would say break it up do a 125shot and bring the 75 shot in at about 4900-5000rpm to what ever you redline at. I am sure more people will give you input on it though

Nice what are you dynoing at right now I have been meaning to get ahold of ya see how its turning out. Any track runs yet? Also what is holding you up on the spray anything major?

Just like the sig says 461 rwhp through and unlocked stalled a4. I havnt sprayed lately to see if the spray problem is fixed. I think I just had the bottle at the wrong angle and had a bad fill? Im gonna try to go to the track this Friday.

Where you getting your fills from? The cheapest and probally one of the best places is S-R Tuning in the Springs. Always giving discount and sometimes filling for free

I get mine filled at jackel. I have tried to contact frank at sr so many times its rediculous. He even put me on a list for dyno time and that was 6 months ago. I just gave up on him.
