Not for nothing, but you seem to be able to do alot of things that doesn't work for most people. If you can get away with it great, I'd never take the chance nor would I tell other people to do something that's not 100% safe.

Someone melts their stuff down... I'm not gonna be the guy that said it was o.k.

You've built how many engines? Don't give me your sarcasm because I learned enough over the years to make things work.

Based on the mods you listed here, yes a tr6 should be fine for a 75hp shot. I gap mine a little tight, (.030) but somewhere between there and .035 should be fine.

*Note: if you have done something to increase cylinder pressure or plan on spraying more, then you may want to look at using a cooler plug.

Guys !! .. all nitrous sponsers and expert nitrous users here are recommanded BR7EF for anything within 150 shot, above that they recommanded BR8EF ..

So why you don't take a time to read the stickies, or go with what they are saying .. man they do alot of tests and they know their stuff better than me and you with TR6

People did it with TR6, but they are not the right one !

Lol. I take it that suddenly people that have been using TR6 plugs for years are now blowing engines left and right?
I have trouble believing that.
It's only been fairly recently that the EXPERTS have come out with this info.
People have been using TR6 plugs with nitrous here on LS-1 tech for years.
Check the archives.
You can agree with the experts all you want, but history shows the good 'ol TR6 is just fine for a medium hit.

Yeah, and for a long time people thought smoking was good for you due to it's "relaxing" qualities...

Buy the "hype" of years gone by if you like, but a non-projected plug IS the right plug for nitrous and it doesn't make any sense to try to run a hot plug in a nitrous motor.

I would like to see the facts, not heresay.
Show me the facts where tr6 plugs are damaging engines on medium hits of nitrous where the tune is correct.

A projected tip plug, like a TR6, WILL retain more heat than an non-projected one. More heat retained = greater chances of detonation. Detonation + Nitrous = HURT PARTS.

Yeah, they can work, but why not just throw in the RIGHT plug instead of one that's mediocre at best.

Then why does sticky titled "spark plug info" say:
LS1 Stock and AFR
Thread – 14mm
Reach - .708”
Socket – 5/8 hex
Seat - Taper
Stock Heat Range: 5
Gap: .060
Plug: NGK TR55 (stock number 3951); NGK TR55IX (stock number 7164); Autolite 764; Denso IT-16 (stock number 5325)

Nitrous (one step colder)
Heat Range: 6
Gap: .035 - .038
Plug: NGK TR6 (stock number 4177); NGK TR6IX (stock number 3689); Autolite 103; Denso IT-20 (stock number 5326)

Not taking sides just wondering why everyone says read stickies but stickes differ from "expert" opinions???? Is this info out dated???

Because that info has been around for years, and has never been updated as the users of LS1Tech became more knowledgeable. I started to take a shot at removing all of the projected tip plugs in there, but got busy at work and never got back to it.

So blame me

I guess I'll have to make some time to do that soon.

Ray is trying to help people from additional wear on your motor while spraying nitrous and more than likely blowing it up (by less wear I mean less cylinder temp). Over the past few years it has came to light that the TR-6 is not the best plug to run for nitrous especially since it has a projected tip. I personally run 7s on 150 and under and 8s on 200 -250. I know a handful of guys on here that are only trying to help others and Ray is one of them. Take his advice and save your motor.....

I see the point you are trying to make, but TR6 plugs will idle smooth/ and will not easily load up in day to day driving. For dd's they are a great plug.
Folks on this site have been using them for over a decade for shots of up to 150.
Now thats on the ragged edge for sure, and few will deny that.
But for 75-100 rwhp hits, on a daily driven ride, you can't argue that the TR6 plugs havn't delivered.
