I say it will take a few passes but I think if traction is there, you should see a 9.52 @ 147

Good one... I'd be psyched with a 9.42 @ 148... If you win I'm sending you two Applebee cards!

Yes, it's launching off of a 2-step. When I ran a 10.08 on the 346 I was launching at 5600 rpms or so with the 4.10 rear... Now with the 402 I have more power, but a 3.42 rear so I'm not sure where I'll launch, but somewhere between 5500 - 6500... I also have to play around with the progressive controller (Maximizer 2) to see where and how fast to bring in the hit... It'll take some time to get it all dialed it, but that's the fun part

We will be spraying the next time out, which will be in a week or two and are really curious what she'll do on n2o.....

So here's the "Pass Time" guess.......

The setup: C5 Corvette coupe, 6 spd with Spec twin disc, c6 zo6 rear w 3.42 rear, tr6060 trans, 26" Hoosier slicks with a full weight plus... around 3650 I guess.... Motor makes 522 rwhp and 469 rwtq... on the spray it made 762 rwhp 701 rwtq…

All questions are welcomed....

Anyone venture to guess WHAT IT WILL RUN ON NITROUS? Let's see who wins....
I didn't read any of the replies, but here goes. For most Vette guys it takes, at least with a Z06 IRS running gear and a clutch, about 700hp to get into the 9's. However, a great driver can do it with 600hp. There are absolutely so many variables and it is not an easy task to go 9's in an IRS Vette. I mostly keep track of the Z06s and only a handful have got into the 9's regardless of power, or power adder.

I predict, in the beginning, if your good, high 9's, and if not so good at slamming the 6-speed, mid 10's. But don't be dissuaded though, the personal record runs usually take some effort and time. Many, or should I say most, do not realize the skill it takes to get a 6-speed C5 and/or Z06 to run fast times.

Here is great quote by Mike Murillo (I could not find it, but will continue to look). He was talking about his stock bottom end head/cam LS6 with a 200 wet shot in DP. He ran a 9.xx and stated something similar to this "I never realized just how hard it was to get the C5 Z06 to go fast". He should know being a very famous Mustang racer with very big time wins. Very well known in drag racing.

Dr. Rob from the Corvetteforum ran a 9.93@138, with a 1.41 short. However, he is considered by many, to be the best of the best C5 Z06 drivers. He did this with 450 n/a horse power. Some drive train mods and gears helped (can elaborate), I am sure, but pure skill had more to do with it than anything else.

Good luck and keep us updated for sure. I have been following your build for some time.
Robert
