I have got a 1.51 short with the 26, i know that's not great compared to an F-bod, but quicker are far and few between whom can master the launch.

What are you launching at? Got a best of 1.53 on the BFGs and 3.42s... I use an almost complete dump at approx 5500rpm with all size shots out of the hole. We want a little spinning of the tire or our rear could be left all over the track, lol. Myself, i would rather give up a little in the short rather cut my day in 1/2 with $5k rebuild, but that's just me. going to be changing to 3.9 or 4.1 gears sometime in the future. My rear is stock except brace and one hard shaft and has survived 300+ launches, and tranny is still bone stock/untouched too.

On the 28" tire, i would not go with a taller tire. IMO, your correct staying with the 26 and the 3.42s. hell, the 26" and 4.10 rear goes thru the traps at about 7000rpm. The 3.42s go thru the lights not in the optimum power band as it is, and 28's make it worse for record runs. however, you do have the extra power to somewhat null those statements? maybe try them both?

1st time out, 9.97@138 is my prediction, on 26s, hopefully faster and quicker...

Have you got the Pro flow tune dialed in? Many report the rec tune to be off? They do have some of the nicest products on the planet though. Good job with that engine bay, very, very nice. Looks as you have done your home work. I would like to include that engine bay pic if that's all right (what we were talking about-pictorial). Looks like you have the same vac pump, i was told mine was the 2nd vette one out there, maybe you got the 1st, lol.

Hey Robert,

Nice short time. My best on the old stock bottom end 346 w 200 shot and
28" Hoosiers with a 4.10 rear was a 1.41. I'm concerned that my shorts wont be quite as good now with my new rear. It's an RPM built c6 z06 rear w 3.42's... There is such a huge difference in how the two rears feel... I might have to just launch at a higher rpm or throw some more sauce on the launch... I'll have to see what it will hold...

I'll start out around 5400 on the 2 step and try to slip the twin disc as much as possible... I will progressively work my way up to 6500 or so depending how it sticks... It will take some time to find the right combination though as I will be

Thanks for the props... I wish I could take all the credit for the engine bay looking nice.. It was really my good buddy Mark of Tirecraft in Point Pleasant NJ... He's really meticulous and treats the car as if it were his own... I'm just his helper who has a good credit line... I'm really a lucky guy to have such help

P.S. feel free to use the engine bay pic...

I hang out with the Anger management crew. The trans is fully built TR 6060 from RPM transmissions... It's just shifted with my left foot and a Spec Twin disc...

Default Winner of "Pass Time"

O.K. Guys, we have a winner..... The winner is TransAm2002... We ran a 9.68@143.75 and his guess was a 9.69@143.69... Nice guess TransAm2002, please PM me with your restaurant of choice so I can mail you your gift card...

A close second guess goes to 3.8redbird with a 9.67@139... Nicely done...

Stay tuned for some better numbers soon, we have some more left for next time out...

Thanks to Mark at Tirecraft (Vettewrench) in Point Pleasant for all his hard work with this build...
Thanks to Ed (Edcmat-l1) from Virginia Speed for tuning the car and coming down to Atco to help with the tune at the track car yesterday...
Thanks to RobZ for all the good advice on suspenstion setup and launch techniques...

Thanks for everyone who played...

So here's the "Pass Time" guess.......

The setup: C5 Corvette coupe, 6 spd with Spec twin disc, c6 zo6 rear w 3.42 rear, tr6060 trans, 26" Hoosier slicks with a full weight plus... around 3650 I guess.... Motor makes 522 rwhp and 469 rwtq... on the spray it made 762 rwhp 701 rwtq…

Anyone venture to guess WHAT IT WILL RUN ON NITROUS? Let's see who wins....
