Default Nitrous + Tire ?

Well basically the setup is on a 00 camaro and its a cam only with full mods. The car is also fully suspended and under 3200lbs with driver. So far ON spray it has gone a best of 10.79 @ 122. That was also after another pass and was hot lapped with less than 20 min of cool down. So it does have more in it I believe. But, the question is, the car is a a4 with a stock 10 bolt and a 3.23 gear. I have a retard box to control the nitrous to turn on at 3900 and off before my shift points. Now it has a 26" slick and has ran a 1.42 60ft time. Would it be better to leave the 26" or move up to a 28". I know that it will lower my gear ratio but the tq will make up for it out the hole. So what tire would be better and if it is a 28" slick, how much faster?
thanks, Tom

With 3.23s I would stick with the 26". What size shot are you running? Your mph seems to be on the low side based on your ET.

The MPH does sound a little off. My best pass in my '99 FRC (on motor) is 11.3 @ 125 with a 1.6 sixty. 10.7 at 122 sounds a little off. You should be trapping more like 132-134.

his vehicle weight could be off too. the mph is a lil weird but my 10.7 was at 131 witha 1.68 60'. he's cutting a 1.42 so i think the mph should be around 123-125. stick with the 26" until you up your gears

I would stick with the 26" tire as well, unless you plan on going to a higher gear, or spraying more N20. I personally don't believe your mph is off either. Your ET is right on with your mph. If you were trapping 130 + like the other guy posted your car would be in the very low 10"s, possibly 9.9's. Your car obviously is 60' pretty good, and the mph could be a little low because of bottle pressure drop by the top end of the track. Unless you are over powering the 26'' I wouldn't go any larger. I would be willing to bet that you would actually slow down with the 28'' tire because of the extra rotational weight, and lowering your rpms (hp).
