Default tr55s for juice?

i have a friend that sprays both his truck 4.8 and his vette and he keeps the tr55s just gapped different (.040 i think he mentioned?)

and both his truck/vette gain significantly....

so are tr6 really necessary? he said he didnt like tr6s for DD and he kept tr55s and is happy with the decision...

anyone else expierence this? thanks...

asking, so i wont have to swap plugs for n/a runs and juice.

Your friend gives bad advice. How he hasn't burned anything up is nothing but pure dumb luck. ALWAYS run colder plugs with non-projected electrodes for nitrous. I run NGK -8's on motor and spray, gapped to .030". They do just fine when not spraying. If colder plugs give fits, then the tune sucks.

Never in a million years would I recommend that especially if he is spraying quite a bit.

tr6 gapped at .40 should be a good starting point. Check the plugs after a run and adjust accordingly. I have seen guys run these plugs anywhere from .35-.45.

It's only like $16 to throw a set of TR6's in.

Run the TR-55's, it's always cool to see disappearing ground straps and nice little brown & black spec's all over the insulator.
