Correct you will be pulling 6* of timing. Also one way to help do away with the lean spike would be to shorten the fuel hose up at least 4-6in. Also we like to see the AFR around 11.8

I don't know **** about nitrous and timing...but 6 degrees seems like alot for only a 100 shot doesn't it? I had a 150 shot wet kit and I'm pretty sure we only had 2 degress pulled for mine and had no issues with detonation. I could be wrong tho lol

I was thinking the same thing..I thought rule of thumb was 2 deg for every 50rwhp,so wouldn't 4 deg be enough.. I'm thinking of adding a 100 shot and thought 4deg would be enough, but I guess not..

I replaced the knock sensors from a different year and sealed them well too. FYI I sprayed my car with a 150 hit today twice and it was sick. Autolite 103's and a lot of timing taken out.
Honestly, I haven't heard one benefit of having a '98 LS1. Apparently the heads aren't as good (who cares) the rod bolts are weak, the PCM isn't as user friendly for tuning, and the oil passages on the '97-98 blocks aren't as efficient as later years. Plus it obviously doesn't come with a LS6 from the factory.

I disagree but maybe thats why my **** is so slow.
We run it around 13:0 A/F
But we check every plug every pass and have different jets in most holes, different timing in most holes and different fueling in most holes. Hell I dont think we have 2 Cyl.'s that are the same.

I would say a good 10-15 hp. Youre fattening it up top. You want it to be clean and clear but not on the ragged edge. Put the 100f pill in and take 2* out. Youll be golden boss. We were jacking around with the pills in my dads car and ended up going too fat. You guys all know what happens next

just clean up the KR issue and pop in that 100 Fuel jet or quit dicking around and give your car the 150 jets it deserves. I use to spray my vette in first gear and usually could get traction.

If the car has stock timing on most applications for a 100hp shot you might not have to pull any timing but on the other hand some cars you might have to pull up to 4*. It differs from vehicle to vehicle.
