Default Your thoughts on Venom

I have the opportunity to get a used VENOM VCN-1000 Computerized Nitrous System off of a c5. What are everyones thoughts on this system, to my knowledge they are big in the import scene. that makes me nervous. Lets hear it.

You'll get more response to this question on the "other board", quite a few people overthere are running the venom kits. Not many people around here run the Venom kits. Maybe that's because we are a little smarter than the other board. But seriously, you might want to check it out and read up on it. From my understanding the N20 output (ie. fuel enrichment and cutoff) is controlled by your stock 02 sensors. Since the 02's on our cars do not read that accurately to begin with, I personally wouldn't want my N20 system being controlled by them. Just my .02 I'm sure someone else will chime in on this in just a few minutes.

I would definately not run a venom kit for the reasons stated above and others.

......go w/ NOS #5177 kit, great value or NX (better warranty).
Both good for dry shots up to around 125hp!

The Venom is basically an overpriced NOS kit. The added safety features are just a marketing gimic that promotes a false sense of security. People that run this kit have to mount the nozzle in front of the MAF for it to work properly instead of the way Venom recommends so it defeats the whole purpose of the kit IMO. If you want a dry kit, the NOS 5177 is the best choice.

Yeah pitiful slow ;-) 11.53 at 122 on an auto with 2.73's in back!

O2 sensors can tell RICH from LEAN also no matter if WOT or not.
