Default Problems with cobalt n20 gauge.

I recently had a Autometer Cobalt N2O gauge installed in my gto at one of our sponsors shops. For some reason when there is no pressure in the line the gauge reads 800psi and climbs from there once i open the bottle. Even when i purge the lines completely in never falls below 800psi. Anyone know what could be causing this?

So even when you disarm your nitrous system and try to purge the rest out of the system it still reads 800?

I might be wrong but I have never seen a gauge still reading 800psi after disarming the system and purging out the rest.

sent autometer an email and havent gotten back to me, cant find their cust. service number. Would this be a problem with the gauge or would it most likely be somthing wrong with the wiring?

I set up an Autometer sending unit for logging, I mistakingly put 12 Volts to it (I was not using a gauge, was logging direct to EFI Live). The sensor is 5 Volts. Autometer sent me a new sending unit for nothing (knowing that I damaged the sensor by connecting it to 12 V). I am going to guess the gauge is 12V and it steps the voltage down to 5 Volts to the sending unit.

Give them a call or send em an email, I was pleased with their customer service. IIRC I used their customer support form and did everything through email.
