great run, I had a few questions. Sounded like you were in 4th gear going through the trap. What RPM and what tire size ?? The reason I ask is I've been wanting to go 4:10's but everybody says I'll regret it. The 1st gear in my C5Z M6 is short and they say I'll probably be row'in it to 5th before the lights. Just wanted to here it from someone who's been there done that.
Thanks...

Thanks, man!
I was in 4th gear. I have 4.10's of course and I run a 28X10.0X16 in the rear. I come across the traps at between 6900 rpms if its a good run. I wouldnt go 4.10's in a C5Z because you have the MN12 tranny which is geared different than the M6 in the reg Corvettes (unless you have done a swap to the M6). Ive never had to go into fifth at this point but the cam and valvetrain helps a lot with that. Im actually reving the car at some points to 7300-7400 rpms.
The cam is a small nitrous grind. Its a Cartek 2X cam and the specs are 228-232 582/598 116. I dont mind putting the numbers out there because Cartek wouldnt give me a cam card or tell me what the cam was but I have an email from them when the cam got installed telling me what their Cam Pro read it as. LOL
On motor (without the two step) I ran an 11.3 at Temple Acadamy but im sure at San An I can get it into the 10's on motor. Much better hooking track.
Hey not to get off topic, BUT... It seems you have a pretty good handle on the nitrous. My project is almost put back together. Where I need the advice is gearing with tire size in reguards to running nitrous. I'd like to keep the factory 18's with DR's so sizes are limited. Gearing it for a N/A run is pretty easy math, but how should I calculate for a 125-175 wet shot ? By the way the car is a C5Z, 346, 6speed, should be around 430rwhp N/A. I'll be shifting around 6600. Any input would be greatly appriceated.

For what its worth... I wouldnt run a DR. Too much of a possibility of wheel how with a radial and thats what will blow the rear end.
Yeah, I've always ran slicks on previous projects. Just wanted to give the DR's a chance. Because I get a lot of "street" encounters. But at the track it will be slicks for sure! So gearing is the main question, with the ZO6 6speed gearing its hard to nail down a diff gear that will be decent for a N/A blast but not over rev on a nitrous run. So I'll look forward to some opinions on gearing or some proven combos.
The back firing is from the 2 step. Its a Lingenfelter LNC003. It has an upper RPM setting so when I shift I never have to come off the gas. The two step cuts ignition for a split second when I hit the clutch so a little fuel builds up in the exhaust and ignites after the shift.
Thanks. I look forward to meeting some of you guys the next time I go out there. I will post up here next time we go. It won't be till next year though. I'm headed back across the big lake again next week.
