Default Nitrous AN line size, quick question.

Whats the AN size of most average nitrous lines? I need a longer nitrous line and i'm not sure if its 4AN or 6AN, i was thinking its 4AN but i'm not 100% sure.

Most are -4AN, I opted for a -6AN line on mine, but it was an upgrade.

What are some advantage's to upgrading to a -6AN? more flow i take it? Would it be beneficial for me to upgrade to that or just stick with the -4AN? I'm only running a 150 shot but will be spraying 200 in the near future.

i had -4an for my 150 shot, i would ask someone like HSW or Nitrous outlet and see what they say, most of the fitting will need to be swapped for -6an line which can get pricey as well.

Most standard systems are 4 an. Systems like directports usualy come with 6 an.

Here is a fast way to tell.

If you use a 9/16 wrench on the B-nut to disconnect from the bottle its 4 an. If you use an 11/16 its 6 an.

I'm no where near experienced enough with N2O to answer that question properly. I'd ask Nitro Dave if it's needed to run a -6AN on the 200's, my guess is it isn't needed but perhaps would be suggested?

All of our brute force systems that are rated that high come with a -6 feed line. Is it 100% necessary? No. Is it suggested? Yes, highly.

Ok that being said, could my HSW wet plate kit handle a 175 or 200 shot if I decide to upgrade from the 150?

Don't wanna hijack but since it's related!

Depends on which system it is. Shoot me a PM with your name and I'll look you up in the system.

What if a guy is running a nano bottle on a Edlebrock Performer RPM plate kit. Would it change anything going from a -4 to a -6 main line? Is it going to change the output from the nano at all?

So i just got my 90 degree fittings in the mail. I went to put them on and they're to big! I don't know what size my line is if these are supposed to be -4AN and my line is supposed to be -4AN. I'm confused...i'll get some pics in a minute and hopefully some of you guys can help me...since i just spent $60 on fittings from summit...

here are some pics, i hope they help.

what size is the fitting coming off the nitrous plate? Because my lines screw onto that just fine...I needed the 90 fittings because my lines are a little to short and i didn't want a hard bend in the line to screw into the plate and a 90 would fix that.

Jet holder fittings are 3AN in size.

So then i need 3AN fittings? I need 2 90 degree fittings to come off the n20/fuel solenoids and 2 to come off the nitrous plate. Where i can i get 90 degree 3AN fittings with male and female ends?

Well first verify that those fittings are too big for the solenoid outputs before you return them...you might only need 2 3AN 90's.

Take your pick...
