Ok perfect that makes sense, I was just wondering if I was thinking correctly or not. Still a newbie.

Same here, all of our races are 1/8th mile.
Yeah we are still learning and have a long way to go. Any help or advice from the experienced guys is always appreciated. We are gonna go to the track tomorrow night and play. Don't know how good its gonna go cause its a Friday night and all the import *** rangers will be there, but maybe we can get in a few clean passes on the baby jets.

Wayne, you should remember this car, or well kind of the engine. You and me talked a good bit about the cam for it and I bought the headers for it from you and shiz. This is that 24* split 117 cam I got from you. I got a bunch of -9 pugs coming in in the morning. Going to switch them, put the smaller jets back in it and take out around 8* total and go make some passes tomorrow night. Probably wont be able to spray it til around 100' unless there really is some 10.5 cars coming out tomorrow. I will post up some pics and some results of what it does.

ps What is a 1/4 mile?? I didnt know anyone ran any of that stuff. They hold that out on the salt flats too??

lol that it does!! Hopefully the track will be somewhat sticky and we can get a few good runs in and get the tuneup on it in the right spot.

hahaha 102/102. Na going to run the 63s which should have been a 130ish shot according to edelbrock, was more of a 220ish shot though.

63 is a little over 150 or so. 8* taken out would be a good starting point like you said before. good luck!

Well for arguments sake, lets lie and say that plug came out after a full pass and it was a 9 plug. a/f was 12.3. Pretty nice, would add 1/4lb of fuel..Maybe. or maybe leave fuel and pull 2*. I like to see a really faint ring though.

it is not getting anymore fuel. I dont like rich fuel systems lol. We are gonna pull timing and lower the jets back to 63s and start from there with a -9 plug, I will post something up tomorrow night with some results

WTF am I looking at? This is the first post I have seen where someone posts a spark plug like that. That's sweet. Can someone explain if they can what fuel lines and such are you looking at? I just see a spark plug with some stuff on the electrode. Thanks for helping us new guys out!

The timing mark is where the color changes on the ground strap. The mark is the thin grey line at the base of the porcelain (where the taper to the full width is).

Yeah the fuel mark is where it looks like someone drew a circle on the bottom of the porcelain, the timing mark is the discoloration on the ground strap. The plug that is currently in the car, utill i walk out there and change it afterthis post lol, is to hot of a plug for the setup. It has a 7 in it now and we are going to a 9, just got done changing the MSD's timing curve so, and about to swap to the smaller jets. Going to run the 111 out of it. Next tasnk will be C16 with the bigger jets in it.

Yeah I don't know what the hell is up with Edelbrocks jet mapping, but its way off. Good way to burn your **** up if you use their charts for a baseline.. lol I'm glad we took it to the dyno first!! I'll give you a shout later tonight with some decent news hopefully.

The jet chart from most companies are usually off. Robietherobot.com is usually dead on for nitrous hp jetting.
