Default How much can a Walbro 255 handle?

I'm running a stock long block LQ4 with a Comp 216/226 cam, long tubes, EFI victor Jr, 42lb injectors, and a 1000cfm TB. Best pass to date with the carb was 12.05 @112. I'm shooting for 11.80's NA with the EFI and plan to hit it with a 125-175HP plate kit.

My fuel system consists of a intank Walbro 255 (with a hot wire kit), and a -06AN feed.

Will my current fuel system support a 150hp setup? How about a 175 hit? I plan on running a seperate regulator for the nitrous fuel solenoid.

How far have guys pushed a single Walbro 255?

the 255 on my lt1 starts to lean out on anything over a 150 wet shot.

Do a stand alone. Yea you may have to pay 5-10 bucks a gallon for race gas but its the safest way. As long as you intank will support the motor your good to go. Judging by your #'s it will

By your last line, are you saying it should be OK as is?

I'm thinking about running dual intank walbro's, -08an up the car, and a 2nd regulator for the nitrous side. I have everything but the 2nd pump and the time....

But what have people run on a single Walbro?

I would like to know as well! Can a single intank Walbro 255 handle a 175-200?

LS2Monte- I also have 42lb injectors and in the same situation as you!

I am gonna go with no. If sprayin that much I would go with twins or Aero 1000 if on pump gas. Or like I said before run race gas to be safe through a stand alone. But hey its your guys motor I dont know how much power you are pushing NA. I will say my 255 is maxed out on motor .

Single 255lph walbro intank, hotwire kit and voltage blaster got me 700-725 rwhp without issue for three years straight. Pump was still good when I parted out the car. Voltage blaster was the cheap one you get from Speed Inc...like $100. Boosts voltage to the entire car at WOT. I also used 42 lb green tops. I was around 99% DS

FYI this was a 385 ci motor making about 425 on motor and a 300 shot all dry

You probally safe on a 15O shot I did that with my old kit. The thing is I would worry about leaning out one side of the motor with it draining from the fuel rail with a 200. I would call nitrous outlet or Hsw and talk to a tech

I did 612hp/592tq on a forged 346 with a tnt 175 shot and no boosta pump, using a racetronix 255 and hotwire kit. After that I went to a stand-a-lone and now make 548hp on motor (same racetronix) and 754hp with a Nitro Dave single nozzle 200 shot.
