Stand alone ????
if i use this pump http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD-Ignition/1...oductId=752083
would i need to get a regulator or not ?
and if i do need a regulator would this one work ?

I think if i run just the pump itself at 43gph at 40psi it will be just fine, that wouldn't be any different than running off the rail at 60psi without a regulator. So what i will be having is standalone, line into the pump. line out into the fuel silnoid. Sound good ? ? If its rich jet it down. Lean jet it up. And pull timing accordingly to whats needed.

If I run it at the low pressure then I will have to get larger fuel jets correct ?? Also I was wondering why would you need a regulator ? Because if you come off the fuel rail ther is no regulator there so what's the difference ?

this is what you need http://www.jegs.com/i/Holley/510/12-802-1/10002/-1
I recommend you run low pressure because there is way more info for tuning tuning low pressure out their and the jets you use for LP are way bigger than HP jets so they don't clog as easy. I made the switch and I'm never going back. You have to use a regulator because that's where most of your tuning will come from along with changing fuel jets. Instead of buying a bunch of fuel jets you can go up or down with the fuel pressure. The blue pump is the most commonly used pump but if you wanted to spend a little more you could go with the black pump like I did. But the blue is more than enough for most cases. Are you planning on dead heading the system or running a return line?

At low pressure will have to run a larger jet on the fuel side. The factory fuel system has a regulator in it.

plans are to come off stand alone with a short line into the fuel pump out of the fuel pum into the regulator down the line and out of the regulator into the silnoids is all I am doing. What fuel jets should i be looking at for a 125 shot and for a 150 shot for fuel jets ? ?? ? With a HSW plate kit ? ? thanks.
