Default Will I be safe running 100-150 shot?

I am trying to figure out what or how much is safe to spray on a 02 5.3. I have a ls6 intake, and I am trying to find a ls6 cam. At what point do I need rods? I am planning on getting a set of arp rod bolts, but rods are out of the picture for me right now.

So nobody can tell me if a 150 shot is safe or not? Rod bolts, rods, pistons? Are they needed?

Seems like you have a several questions. Give me a call at the shop and I can get you all setup. Will go over your setup, make sure its safe, and get you lined out on parts if you happen to need anything else.

You are safe on a 100 shot that is if you have #7 plugs and have someone that can tune your car and retard your timming

You will be fine spraying the 5.3 on 100hp and even 150hp. You will need to make sure that you have the correct plug in there ( BR7EF ), you have enough fueling for the size shot ( If you plan on a cam i'd suggest upgrading the fuel pump ), and finally you need to make sure it's tuned properly.

Usually they are pretty easy to get. We have them here at local parts stores. If not Give dave a call. For plugs.

br7ef is how ngk designates them. Your local parts store can use this number.

The best thing would be to tell them you need NGK Stock# 3346 which is the BR7EF

Projected tip vs. a non-projected tip.
In other words a N/A plug(tr6) and a Nitrous plug (br7ef)

let me guess you spray your car with 5,000 shot with TR6's all the time and it runs great.
