Default Running wires through the front of the intake (see photo)

I'm thinking of routing 2 of my solenoid wires through the front of the intake manifold (see photo, you can see the wires there) on my 1999 Z28. It makes the routing of the wires more simple for me.

I would like to know whether or not you think there will be too much heat there? I've never felt how hot the intake gets when the car is running... I just want to make sure the wires won't melt. I would also put them through a flexible plastic hose/sleeve.
