Default nitrous on a stock stall?

Was wondering if anyother a4s chose to keep their stock stall and add nitrous? What kinda track times and power could I expect doing this?

You can do it but your missing out on a lot of performance without one.

Yes I know all about that but Im also thinking about how the higher tc is going to act at high mph on the highway. Iv been doing some research and im not likeing the sound of the aftermarket tc being less effieceint up at higher speeds. Im not sure if a higher stall is for me.

I did some googleing and I found a couple posts that guys have sprayed on stock stall. Ls1 totally stock cars in the high 11s. I found that after the stall the times that people post only go down a few tenths which may not be worth it for me. ****,if your lt1 (if thats what you have) did low 12s stock on a shot then I would be happy with that. I would be able to shut it off, drive home with the full efficiency of the stock converter, and not worry about other components being beat to hell because of the higher stall.

Kdavis went 12.42 on a stock stall with a 75 dry shot. Only had a lid and cutout as other mods. And drag radials ofcourse.

a big stall wont change any high way driving/cruising as long as the tuner isnt retarded. i had a 4k stall from tci and it was about stock minus just giving it a little more gas when i wanted to roll from a stop...as far as juice goes, i did juice on a lid and cut out, 320/330 at the wheels off, 450/465 on and ran a 13.3 @106 off and 12.0@115 on.

Yes sir it was a 75 shot. I installed the kit myself and jetted it before he left our shop. I'll find the video to prove it.

Mind you he was launching on it. as soon as he staged he started spraying.

Tc isn't going to affect highway driving because it locks up. I went high 11's on a 150, but at 120. TC was def. holding it back.

Im not talking about from a dig. We all know from a dig stall is king but What about when your already cruising at 65-85 mph? I want my stall to be efficient at that speed.

A correct stall will make you faster from every punch, dig and roll, be able to lock up on the highway and not be too loose for a daily driver.

I personally like yank because when you call you talking to the man himself. Tell the converter builder what you want and you can have the cake and eat it too for the times you wanting to run.

At those cruising speeds is when it locks up and stall speed is pretty irrelevant. Sorry, I thought you meant normal driving.

M ol' lady's car has headers, lid, cutout, and tune. It went 12.56 @ 113 on motor. We never ran it through the 1/4 on the 100 shot but it went 7.39 @ 93mph in the 1/8th

Stock converter will work great if you spray it off the line but don't expect that 4L60 to hold up very long LOL

Your cars computer will lock up the aftermarket TC so it will drive just like stock. Mine is set to lock up at 50 mph and I love it! Its the best mode that I have for all around performance. Your car will come alive with spray and a good TC! Just don`t forget to buy slick.

My car ran a couple 11.70's on a 125 dry shot spraying out of the hole before the tranny took a ****. The only mods at the time were 4.10's, tune, and the bottle.
