"I'm another guy that doesn't have a million posts, but has been around for a while, if not on this site, at the track or in the garage. I don't claim to have all the tech skills of some of the heavy hitters, but I've been doing this stuff long enough to answer 95% of the questions that come up. On top of that I don't start fights on here, but have never been timid about spreading the best information I can (while playing nice, though, sometimes people make it tough). I just generally want to see this place continue to grow and stop the rampant spread of misinformation that has seemed to creep into this section since I spend so much darn time in it already (hell, I'm on here at least a couple hours a day as it is)."
More background on me:
I'm a 23 year old paralegal that's been messing with cars since high school. I've been fooling with nitrous since around 2004 when I installed my first nitrous kit on my first car, a '02 VW GTI. I've been spraying LS1 based stuff since late '06 when I bought my Formula. Throughout the years I've turned the car from a 12.5sec bone stock M6 car to what you see in my sig (which still hasn't shown it's true potential.... That pass was on a 10 bolt leaving off idle... Buttoning it up again by this weekend and hope to have a 9.60ish pass by the end of the season).
I've been active in my local scene, hanging out with Richmond Performance Musclecars (Richmond, VA's 4th Gen club) since I bought the car and have had my hands in tons of different setups because of the club. If I hadn't met those guys I'd have been totally happy with a high 11 second car, but they helped my itch grow tremendously. I've learned a ton from some of the guys hanging around with this club (notable members that are active here are MIGHTYMOUSE, FROST, RICE ETR, and Z284U2TRY along with the guys that have posted above), absorbing knowledge from the big nitrous guys on this site, and getting/giving help to/from the local racers at Richmond Dragway, Virginia Motorsports Park, and Maryland International Raceway.
Lately, I've become more active on this site, specifically in this section, in order to help curb some of the misinformation and help the guys that are in the position I was in just a few years ago.
Any other questions, feel free to let me know.
Ray
