Usually people do it on a 200 shot or more but have seen people do it on a 100 shot its up to the person.
1.The reason you want a fuel cell is its extra fuel supply to your motor.
2. You can control the fuel pressure and tweak your AF.
3. You can run a higher octane in the cell.
4.You dont run the risk of leanning out one side of the fuel rail if you pull from one side.
Im sure there is more whys. If your doing a 250 shot I would definitely get one. I personally use the NitrousOulet dedicated cell. Let me know if you need anything else.

i understand that. thanks for your reply. I have a 100 dry and 175 wet on a powerring. I love the wet and dry set up! it mixes so well! went to track last nite and made 3 passes scanning the car with hptuners/wideband and afr set to 12.8 on motor. When i shoot the dry falls to 11.6 and wet brings it to 11.8. Plugs are ngktr6 and pulled this morning and the look fine. Only fuel upgrades are hotwire and fuelpump. 42lb racetronix injectors. I would like to step it up to a 300 combined and hope for best and it def acts like it could hold more. I know alot of people post **** about their friend and cousins and blah blah blah car but i do have two friends shooting 300 and 350 on a progressive on stock bottomend ls motors with just arp rod bolts. Dont really care if it blow but dont want to blow if for something dumb i forgot or didnt know. Thanks again everyone

You need a much colder non-projected tip plug!

What's the rest of the setup like? I'm pretty amazed it's not out of fuel. I'd throw a stand alone on the car if I were you!

I totally agree with you man. You need at least a #8 proj. plug. I would get a standalone as my buddy RYARBROUGH has stated to.

the set up is 5.3 tsp heads ms3 cam a4 vig 3200. arp rodbolts with 325 dragradials. Car has never ran to swift on motor even on a small drag radial. 7.60 at best. I was pretty disapointed with it. It sounds like a promod with the ms3 cam and wont run better than a 7.6. BUT when i spray this bitch oh my goodness. I must have a true crackhead

I run one so I didnt have to tune the car for spray only, I also like that i can run race fuel just in the cell and 93 in the tank.

Any way you could elaborate on this? From my limited experience, my cell has very little to do with the actual tune up of the car. I run it on low psi, and use minor adjustments with the fuel pressure to tweak it, but how does that help the timing aspect of the tune? Maybe I'm just a rookie newb, but I have about 20 different tunes for nitrous, depending on weather, shot size etc.

What intake are you running? Fuel cells are good for anything above 150 shot. Plust its added insurance one side of your fuel rail doesnt keep.

100 dry and a 175 wet? and your using a TR6? fack... How are you tuning it?

Standalone's are great for 100 to whatever shot.. it allows you to add or pull fuel via pressure adjustments without pulling jets.. unless your way off on the fuel.

Running C16 also helps too.

I'm willing to bet the converter is too tight on the motor... When you spray it it'll flash into a better spot in the poweband.

Don't worry, my car is the same way... It's a total DOG on the motor

The hotwire and fuel pump are good for about 650 rear wheel hp.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge on the vehicle?

Get rid of the TR6. That is completely the wrong plug for your power level and nitrous.
As far as looking at the plug the next day after driving on it, that will tell you nothing. You need a fresh set of plugs in it and yank the plug right after killing it after wide open throttle.

What is your complete tune up?

Well I actually run a dig 6 ignition also, so I can just go from a full NA tune to a N2o tune at the flick of a switch and dont need the factory fuel system or computer to compensate for the spray.

Race gas is not needed for smaller shots but is just added security IMO.
I havent used the Nano yet so I cant say for sure how it works but it looks cool. lol

So how exactly does the addition of race gas get used? Is there any power added?
