I'm not sure I would want to do that regardless of the rules... Good luck with it either way, that's a sweet setup

Itll be a little bit, honestly probably next season. The car is torn apart at the moment. Tranny is in it, but finishing up the converter spacing, and mounting the shifter. Also installing a 3.70 gear instead of a 3.89, going with some Afco coilovers instead of the Konis that are on it now. Im really interested to see if i can get this car to work with a 17" wheel and 28" radials.

I have a buddy with 17x7 17x11 streetlites his car only gained .05 tenths switching to 15x10 15x3.5 streetlites on a 10.50 car. 28 inch radials on both rims. 1.40 60ft's 17's

Yah, alot of that has to do with rotating weight and mass. I will eventually use a 15" whee setup, but the 17's are just a goal to shoot for. Plus the Fikse wheels are very light compared to most 17's.
