LTx car joins the 9 sec club
I went out Sunday the 19th to do some further testing on the kit. I have had some opti issues and lost the rotor a few weeks back at the Ltx Shootout. I chose to put a cap and rotor on which I'm always against and it now has a little miss issue above 6500 rpm NA and worse on spray as I found out yesterday. I will be doing a new Opti soon with a riveted rotor and modified stock cap.
anyway so we headed out to the track ( approx 60 miles each way ) with a chance of rain and we made out good with the weather..thank god
The track was not as good as normal and I could not hook the car. I'm still trying to figure out the Hoosier over the M/T's I have ran for the past 2 years and they worked awesome. I need to also confirm pinion angle and check over my rear control arm bushings as something just doesn't seem correct. I had to replace them before from being worn since I use poly as I hate the noise of rod ends being this is a street car.
I had the window switch and 3200, tires at 18, foot brake to 2500 and blew the tires off..no shake.
I then went to 3600 on the window switch, 16psi tires, foot brake 2000 rpm with shake/chatter.
I then went to 3700 on the window switch, 16 psi, foot brake 2000 rpm with shake/chatter.
I wanted to leave all out, but still reached my goals yesterday for ET/MPH. I still have some left in the combo as it sits and even more if I decide to up jet it

I hate to have things look out of place. The goal is always to be clean and simple with the look as if it should be this way as you noted.
I did a lid conversion on BADHAWKS car as well with his larger then stock hood. The lid conversion with RA can be done with a stock WS6 hood and believe someone had pic in the LTx section.
I hope you get good weather and meet your goals Sat.
thanks

I think it runs o.k for some stock parts and surprises some people especially when I am blowing by trailer cars driving home
I knew my limits and was pushing it
I think you can get your number with some suspension changes and more testing.
thanks
