I have a tight 3k stall I have my window switch set at 2200 and have prob. 50-60 pass on it that way. I spray through shifts and still on the stock tranny

You have some great times with your mods. Is there anyway you can post up here your complete mod list or send me a pm? Would love to run your times next season, and plan on doing a stall, walbro, sticky tires, tune, etc... Just wondering what brands and specs you went with everything.

tpis long tubes, local shop true duals, local shop shift kit, mti lid, hsw wet kit, nano kit, eibach pro kit up front with stock springs out back, pro torque 3k stall

My buddy's car has 123 passes spraying off the foot brake with a stock....yes stock converter....no problems....I think that 3000rpm talk is just a precaution some take....

lol window switch is def needed...you never know when something is going to happen and the car is going to just stick on the rev limiter

You misinterpreted my statement. The quote "that one time" refers to the moment when something goes wrong as a result of banging off the rev limiter, not EVERYTIME you hit the rev limiter.

There is the "right way" and the "wrong way" to do something, often they both have the same expected outcomes. Focusing on mitigating the risk of potential failure is the goal of this thread IMHO.

No window switch here. Most times I launch and then hit the switch. If I'm at a good track (Bradenton), I leave on the spray. Track prep is excellent at the "Dead Hookers" events.
