which cyl is most important when reading plugs
You need to take your time, get the first kit dialed in, then add the second.
I wouldn't be taking chances during the initial setup. Once you get everything under control, you'll know which plugs you generally need to watch and can focus on those, but during inital tuning you should pull them all.
Basically, take a set for however many passes you'll make (at least for your first time getting things set up).
The number of plugs you go through will decline greatly as you get a handle on the tune up.
More important than anything else, not trying to be rude at all, is to change the mentality right now. Pulling EVERY plug EVERY pass until that thing is spot on with both stages is the best thing you can do for your car right now. Do not go into this process looking for corners to cut. Good parts are only half, you must have that tune correct.
There are many resources at your disposal. I would take advantage of that and make you do your part. The car will fly if you do. Myself, Dave, Camscam, and many other guys are happy to give you a hand.
