Default Max spray with 243/247 116 lsa cam

I'm finally going to finish off my nitrous system. My cam is ground on the Comp Cams LSL lobes. 243/247 .624/.624 on a 116. I built the motor for boost in the future, so it's only 9.3:1 compression. Probe said my pistons are good up to a 400 shot with the ring gap I have. I've got a Nitrous Outlet spraybar that's rated up to a 300 shot. I may add a second stage. I will be using a dedicated low pressure fuel system for the nitrous. I've got the valvetrain to turn 7500-8000rpm if I wanted to. Can I shoot 300hp total? 400?

Skies the limit. I gotta buddy that put a blower cam in his car so in the future he could put a D1 on his car, and it sucked the nitrous down pretty good. His was only a 150 shot tho. Get it all lined out on the motor first and spray the **** outta it.

You should be able to spray 300hp on that combo with no problems at all especially if you called and probe confirmed they would handle a 400hp shot.

I'm planning on starting at 200 so I can learn the car and work my way up. I'll call my builder and re verify the ring gaps.

Do you think I should put a different cam in it for a 300 shot?

I'd like to see something with more exhaust duration, and maybe a little tighter LSA, but I doubt it'll actually "hurt" the motor. It's just not going to be optimized.

I'm going to talk with Mark at Bullet and see what he has to say. I want to run the 10.0 index class, so if I can do it with a better cam and less nitrous I would rather do that. Easier on the pocketbook buying nitrous.

Do you have anybody else I should call for a cam? Right now the fastest I've gone NA with my low compression motor is 12.43 @ 111mph with a 1.72 60 ft. It's leaving real soft and dropping 1700rpm on the shift with no nitrous.

Cam wont help much with the compression that low.

Didnt know it was that slow .... Spray it and it will help alot. Nitrous = cyl. pressure which you have none of right now.
150 shot will wake it up bigtime.

Also if its falling back 1700 on shifts thats alot. put some spray to it and it should be 800-1200 depending on gearing and rpm range.

If its not the convertor is wrong.

When I had Greg at FTI restall the converter I told him a 300 shot. So depending on how much I end up spraying I may have to restall it.

My heads currently have 63cc chambers. I was planning on having Advanced Inductions build me some heads with my tax refund. I may be able to do smaller chambers to raise compression a little.

New cam ordered from Mark at Bullet Racing Cams. 250/260 .625/.600 on a 115. I'm only to use a max of 250hp shot with it.

the extra exhaust will b good with that intake and nitrous.not sure the 370 needs that much intake duration on the nitrous. why only a 250?
