Default How can I run my purge out the vents on my Firehawk hood?

What I am wanting to do is run a dual purge from the side vents on my hood, not out of the front. Is there any flexible line that I can use for this? I would secure it to the bottom of the hood somehow and run the purge line down the middle of the to the cowl and then to the purge line. That way I would only have a small part of the line that would hang down when the hood was closed.

Thanks for any input.

You kinda see the vents in this picture

Yes, you can. Nitrous Outet has dual purge kits and flexible line they sell separately. Nitrous Outlet purge kits I run a dual purge that exits behind my side mirrors and fires straight up.

I would like to see this as well. I was thinking of doing this or making it come out the front nostrils.

It's an old post and a GTO but this customer bought our dual vent purge upgrade and also added some light as well but it has his install pics http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showpos...5&postcount=13 .

We lost a ton of pics when our server crashed yr's ago.

This is basically what you would need http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...4&product=2758 and tehn all you need to get is some 3m clips to hold the line if needed and your set.

Here is a vid of a Recent Customer we did one for his CTS-V

Chris,

Thank you for the post. What are the 3m clips you are talking about?

They are self adhesive clips used for wiring usually. They are usually white plastic with 3m adhesive on the back, and the tops have slots in them for tying/zipties to be used to strap things down.

Using a flexible hose like polyflo would be cheaper than stainless braided, and should handle the cold just fine, and allow you to buy it in various colors to either accent, or hide the lines.

These work

But these are better but can be pricey in some instances [ i would use something like this IMO ]

I really appreciate everyone's replies. I think this will be pretty cool when I do this.

What is the silver thing that is behind the grill? Is it a light?

It's just rigid plastic/nylon tubing that uses a compression swagelock fitting to attach it.

I sold my LS6 intake and bought a FAST 102. I am waiting to see how I am going to mount my solenoids before I start working on it. I ordered the hood dual purge kit a while back.

I was at Radio Shack getting some wiring to hook my gauges up and ran across these;

With these I can secure the purge feed line to the hood

With these I can secure the metal purge lines from the T fitting to the vents in the hood;

As soon as I get the purge solenoid placed and what angle of fitting I need I should have it done.
