Default NX Gemini Twin plate install pics

Just thought I'd share some pics of my nitrous install. This is a NX Gemini Twin Pro Power plate installed on a Vic Jr EFI intake. The motor is a forged 346 cube with stock heads and a Thunder TRex cam through a TH350 trans.

On motor, the car put down 363hp and 311tq (with timing pulled for nitrous). I imagine that the low torque is a result of the short runner Vic Jr intake with the stock heads.
On nitrous, however, I was quite impressed. 601 hp / 523 tq! That 238 rwhp gain was from what NX says is a 200 shot ...
Also don't forget that these numbers are through an UNLOCKED torque converter. Not bad for a little 346 with stock heads.

We still have some fine tuning to do and I think the final numbers may come in under the 600 mark because I think we'll need to pull a couple more degrees of timing. Of course the numbers that matter will be determined next month at the track

Big thanks to NX for a great nitrous kit and to Harris Speed Works for their nifty little controller
And of course Doc @ EFI Alchemy for the tuning.

That looks great. The triangle bracket is a pretty clean idea. That thing really is nice and tucked up under the elbow.

The sleek beak with very faint flames is definitely a clean and original look.

Whats the specs on the motor? How much do you plan on spraying?

Thanks. It was a tight squeeze to get all of the solenoids under the elbow. I was hoping that the difference in length between the fuel and nitrous lines would help me avoid a lean spike on the initial hit, but I still saw a short one. Fortunately, I wired the fuel and nitrous solenoids to separate stages so I should be able to clear it up with the MicroEdge.

The motor is a stock cube LS1 w/ stock crank, Mahle flat-top pistons, Scat rods, TRex cam (244/249 .610/.613 109LSA), and stock (241) heads.

I was planning on spraying anywhere from 200-300, depending on what it takes to get me happy with my 1/4 times (low 9.8x?) or until it pops... I figure the crank will be the first to go here.

that is a very nice job, wondering about the pic with the bottle, might just be the angle of the shot, but is the valve sitting lower than the syphon tube?

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's just the angle of the pic on the bottle.

That is a really nice clean install. I'd swap out that elbow for something else or a 4150 / carb hat. You should pick up a decent amount from that alone.

great install. wonder if it would pick up with out the elbow and a 4-barrel TB? Wonder if it would matter cause of the spray. PM sent also.

Thanks. Many larger cube engines have shown considerable gains with a 4-barrel TB or even a different elbow than the Edlebrock one. I have to wonder though, with my small cube engine, if that elbow can't move more air than the engine can pull anyway. Of course if it's making 600hp, it's pulling a lot of air...

One concern for me about going to a 4-barrel is the torque. I'm already sacrificing a good bit with the short-runner Vic Jr as it is. I feel I might be sacrificing too much by further shortening the intake path. Sure it would put down big hp on the dyno, but my concern is track times, not dyno numbers. It's a reasonably heavy car that will need decent torque to get moving down the track.

Of course I might not have any idea what I'm talking about, either
