Default Need input on this nitrous kit pronto before i buy

I just want to make sure im not making a big mistake before buying this, it was said to have been on a show car and never used, bottle is almost full, and comes with everything but braided hose (which i have). he is selling for 250.00 and i really am not looking for anything radical at all. i think its a NX exrpress stage 6 kit but he cant find a part number for me. any input as to if i should buy this or not let me know

What are you going to put it on? for starters.
To be honest I would pass it up and just get a new kit from N20 Outlet or Harris. The time you waste buying old kit. Plust a new kit would have everything you need,(main hose, all lines etc)
If you do go with that Kit I would send the NOIDS in to have them all re done you never know if one is bad. Then I would make sure the jets are good and all match your application.

355 sbc with forged pistons, 10.5 compression, cam, heads, carbed (obiously) but this kit is 250.00 compared to about 4 or 500 will i be saving? im only going to be using about 150 shot at the MOST as to i dont want to push my limits and its only going to be when i race it (about once or twice a month).

is it worth it in your opinion? after buying bottle heaters and refilling the bottles? I feel like its the only power adder i can choose due to my compression

Man tell the guy you will give him 200.oo for it. lol. Hey the only thing I would do with the kit is send the noids somewhere to have them rebuilt and checked out.Im just worried since the guy never used the kit the noids could be not working right. I would call the company and see what they would charge you to do that. And see what the kit is rated for. Dont use the fpss switch throw that in the trash to.
If you can swing it man just save your money and get a new kit. Do what I said first and see what you are going to have wrapped up in the kit. Let me know if you need anything

I went ahead and got it. He runs nitrous on his car and he said he knew how to check em and said they were good. Kinda on a tight budget and also why throw the fuel pressure safety switch away? I have WOT switch and plan on getting the activator box from msd and wiring it up to pretty much fail proof.

I would set if up and a progressive controler I have the nitrous Outlet one. There are many to pick from. I just dont like the fpss. I have seen those fail and blow the motor.
Main thing run good gas, right plugs, and the right timing

Yeah I have locked out timing and I plan on getting a retard box from msd where I can take timing out by turn of a ****.

I run a traditional SBC with brodix aluminum heads and stock bottom end and forged pistons (about 10.5 compression maybe little less) but have ARP bolts. Will my rods be fine or do I need to upgrade bottom end for the 150-200 shot? I'm probably going to start out at a lower shot to get the hang of everything.. Is there a specific progressive box you would choose from?

I Would talk to chris@nitrousOutlet. and the progressive box. He will steer you in the right direction. As far as nitrous is concerned you always want to start out on a smaller shot say a 100 Then learn the car and read the plugs. There are to many people that thank HEY LET ME THROW THIS 300 SHOT ON A CAR RIGHT OUTA THE GATE. With a smaller shot if something is wrong wiring or tune its more forgiving then a huge shot. So start with a 100 Then when you are good then work your way up. Do you have arp head bolts or studs. What rod bolts do you have?

Thanks everything he gave me is in good shape, I would have loved to get a new set up but I figured if I can swing this it will allow for a little more spending on modules and other needed stuff.. I got lucky for buying used I'll say that.

I'll for sure give him a holler, and I agree totally on not spraying it a lot off the start. I have bolts not studs.and I believe my rod bolts are also arp, don't quote me on that though. Will premium pump gas supply my nitrous or should I get a stand alone fuel cell with race gas in it just for spray?
