got a nos kit for the all stock 2001 z.
hey guys i got this kit from jegs.
http://www.jegs.com/i/NOS/741/05168/...oductId=749110
they say on 100 that no internals or other mods is nessary.
what things do you guys recomend. i have already installed a spl lid, bellows, and skip shift. other than that the car is bone stock and 37000. its my daily driver so i cant get stupid with it or need too. the s10 will be running 8.50s or faster and the blazer will be running low 10s on spray.
thanks for the help and recomendations.

i did read both stickys as well and have been spraying 225 for about 4 1/2 yrs now. so try and answer the questions.
ie its a m6. do i need to use a window switch? i was spraying automatics going 9.90s
and the blazer going low 10s.
do you recomend a new fuel pump. the stickies didnt say for shure. i want people that have used it on a stock engine to recomend what they would do. thanks.
in all the time ive sprayed the engine ive never burnt a plug, hurt a part or had a single issue. because i asked questions.
i like to leave on the spray. so can the stock 10 blolt hold up on a drag radial
can the stock clutch hold a clutch dump right at the hit?
none of this is in the stickys

A fuel pump upgrade depends on overall power being made. If you are over about 420-430 I would recommend it and over 450 I would call it a requirement.
The stock 10 bolt will not hold power with a m6. Period.
A clutch dump is relative. Will it hold a sidestep from 5000 rpms? No. The stock clutch will not hold much power especially with spray.

do you guys just roll out instead of the dup clutch for the hit? then spray? on a window switch. if so whats the best rpm based window switch for spray?
also what clutch do you recomend. its all stock now with just lid and bellows.
will eventually be a bolt on car with a cam. stock other wise. i like the opinions and options that people have tried. im only planning on 100 shot. i used to spray the s10 with a thumb switch. worked well and consistant

I spray 150hp wet kit on my stock bottom end with no problems..The engine has 135K on it and im still on the stock 10bolt..Its an M6 car so i leave the line from 5500rpms in 1st gear and when i bang 2nd gear i hit the button. I use a WOT switch but i dnt arm it until 2nd gear. That way it doesnt spray through shifts..Jus be careful not to miss a gear....LOL I cant speak for everyone else but ive had no issues with my setup..I do have bigger fuel pump and bigger injectors tho.

all stock internals here, wouldn't thumb switch an m6, let the car do the work for you with a wot trigger like gt eatr said. get a digital window switch so you can fine tune when your n2o hits (hopefully saving you at the lauch). msd digital window switch is a nice unit (mount it in the glovebox; stealthy). you can adjust when it comes on and off at the push of a button, making it very easy to dial it down real time. i think im set at 3300 (which is low imo) and cut off at 5900rpm?? i'd have to check... also, if you arent going to upgrade the fuel pump, look into a hotwire kit. on 100 shot i'd be pulling timing as well. to answer your question no you shouldn't hit a stock m6 from the dig on dr's.
^100% Great idea on a stock M6..I dnt hit my N20 until 2nd gear just to be safe..LOL yea on a 150 hit im pulling a few degrees timing as well..Just make sure your A/F ratio is set perfect for spray..especially on a stock motor..you would really hate to lean out on spray..Then you have a big problem..
what do you pull timing with. is this something you have to have programed?
im used to my digital 6 just turn the dial to what ever degree and when spraying its done.
old cars are easier to work on. but im learning. im gona get the nos window switch/rpm controller. also may get a racetronics pump and make a hardwire kit.

^^^ What he said. Either you can do it yourself or have a tuner at a shop do it for you. Based on personal experience I would go with this rather than say a timing box (timing twister). You dont need "too many hands in the cookie jar".
