I think he has it backwards.

You want to set the N20 on RPM a couple hundred higher than the 2 step RPM unless you want the N20 to come on while your on the 2 step.
(done that before and it was cool but not something you want to do all the time)

Spraying out of the hole is MUCH more fun!!!! Also will net you noticable gains in the 1/4 since it will drop your 60.

Personaly my favorite part of a 1/4 mile run is the first 60 feet or so. The harder I am pressed in the seat the bigger the smile.

The only down side is spraying out of the hole is certainly harder on parts. That is up to you if you are confortable with the trans, drive shaft, and rear end.

for the guys who sprayed the 100-150 shot off the window switch set to come on at 3k rpm are you doing this on a stock rear? cuz i plan on spraying a 100 shot in first gear and so on with the window switch set to 3k to come and and im worried about how my rear will hold up?

I spray a 100 shot off the line using a WOT switch and Window switch(Set for 3K) on a stock rear with 3:73 gears..
Made 4 passes a couple weeks ago all in the 11.20 range and 1.51 60's.. I think I've pushed as far as I dare without a 9".... If the track wasn't 1 1/2 hours away I'd run it til it broke.. That being said, it's held up for 6 years now...

I have been told running a SS4000 and If I want to spray it I would have to turn my car over 7K rpm for it don't blow threw the converter. Thats the converter I went with..
