I would run a window switch. There too cheap to not do it and add all the safety it provides.

Can you do it? Sure. Have people got away with it? Yes. Would I recommend it? No.

Be fine, used to do it all the time. (window switch is good for top side of RPM also, something breaks you dont want it spraying into the limiter.)
The lower you footbrake the car the higher it will flash the converter (leave harder).
Will turn your 4000 stall into a 5000 stall. LOL !

I used to have my window switch set to come on at 3000 rpm with 100 or 150. My best time was 11.7 @ 118 spraying 150 at 3000. Next time i went to track i sprayed it off the line each pass. Ran 11.7 @ 116 with a 100 shot and i ran 11.3 @ 119 with 150. It'll really make a difference in your track times but its risky!

I dont think its that risky, with a 4000 stall there is really no load on the motor under 3000 rpm and it takes a split second for the N20 to hit, by that time your rpm is rolling and your good to go.

Hell, 3200 stall here and as soon as I get the pedal on the floor the button is pressed. Out of the hole on the bottle.

Usually the issue is driver error or if something breaks. IMO its just too easy and cheap to run a window switch. Does not have to be all the way at 3000 RPM's. Thats just the usually safety window.

You can still run a window switch and spray out of the hole.

I got a H/C/I stock bottom car and I run a SS4000 in my car and I can only spray up to 100hp shot. If I go to the 150 hp shot it blows thru the converter and my computer doesn't want to shift the trans and I bump off the rev limiter for a bit. If I were you I would invest in a $120 window switch just for the safety that if something goes wrong it could cost you a lot more.

Its goin to be a month or so before i get it to the track. So im gonna hit it with a 100 outta the gate and see what happens. I dont have the loot rite now for a window switch(still gotta get a tune from frost) im poor lol, plus i just spent the money for the yank and the nx kit, slicks ect ect you guys know the drill. the wife still coolin down from that lol.
If i need a window switch ima just go old school with a button for awhile lol

The window switch isnt a must just make sure you keep it off the rev limiter. I sprayed my formula out the gate every pass...4k yank/th350. Just footbraked it to 1000-1100 rpm and let that bitch rip...n2o was setup on a WOT switch on the pedal.

Can you set,the two step to 4k to leave on the trans brake, and set your window switch to 3800 for the nitrous.

It's the only way it should be done. No reason to go above 3500 on a ws.

Spray it out of the whole and dont look back, Window switch is a good idea for top end control. What Graham I think maybe forgot to mention in addition to running a window switch to run a WOT switch tied into it. Thats how I had mine wired, WOT switch into Window Switch at 3000rpm. With a stall as soon as you launch its spraying and got me 1.49 60ft. But back in the day when I just got my car, I litterally had a bottle sitting in the back with a button wired to the solenoid in the gym back using my power outlet for the hot side. Never had a problem either.
