Default ok nos guys pick a cam for me stock bottom end.

hey guys i just hit 40000 in the camro so time to mod.
2001 ls1 6spd. all stock right now.
i wana spray it dead on the hit so ive got lots of parts upgrades to do.
car is getting 9" and all related suspension parts, t56 is getting upgraded and new spec 3+ clutch. now comes the motor.
id like to run the stock ls6 intake and tb ported, what would be a good cam. gona spray 75 shot for the tq hit on the launch. may jump to 100 shot.
i like the big cam sound but dont really wana start on the whole fast 102 tb and all the other bolt ons already have a 8 sec turbo s10 and 10 sec nos blazer. this is my street car and daily driver.
also car is getting a set of 1 7/8 long tubes and proably true duals, or magnaflow cat back w ofy.
so what cam would work well with the stock intake ported tb, longtubes, ofy or true duals. i plan on setting the 2 step to arround 4000 and spraying right off it.

why dont u just spray it like it is? There are plenty of good cams out there to spray on.

I ran my T-REX with a LS6 intake for awhile and with a 150 shot the car put down over 600 to the wheels and torque with a 9".

As far as off the shelf cams go I would use a TSP 231 237 for the larger exhaust duration. Or give PAT G a call.

Pat G would be my choice if I had it to do over. however my TRQ2 loves the 250 shot

my speedinc si5 likes the gas. went almost 2 tenths faster on a 100 shot than I was running on a 150 shot stock cam.

Best nitrous cam for your setup IMO is comp cams part number 54-444-11, grind number XER273HR. RPM range: 2,000 to 7,000 rpm.
Duration at .050" lift: 224/230 (int/exh)
Valve lift with 1.7 rockers: .581"/.588" (int/exh)
114 degree lsa

We use this camshaft, it has a good idle, makes good hp with a broad rpm range, and performs extremely well with nitrous because of the lsa and 6 degree duration split. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
