BS3 used for nitrous
Thanks for any help
I would love to see installed pics of that intake on your car!
Talk to Brian Black. He has used the BS3 for years. On his car he used a BS3 with a FJO mini to controll it. The BS3 has 3 stage Out puts that will send signal to the solenoids. He used the FJO to be able to progress the solenoids. If using 3 stages You probably do not need to progress but if you do you may want to look at the NOS launcher.
He is now swaping to a new version of BS3 with integrated Nitrous Controlls. So he can give you the in and outs about both set ups.
If you have not already wired it in there are some options that may make everything really easy for you.

I'll get some pics once it's all cleaned up haha
I haven't started any of the wiring for the nitrous so it'll be great to get the help
I knew it had the outputs and ability for it I just don't know much about it and your correct I won't need a progressive controller if I can activate at least 2 stages off it

Like Steve said, using 3 stages I don't see the need for a progressive controller setup.
As Dave mentioned above, the standard BS3 setup will control 3 stages of solenoids on a time based setup. Its not actually called a "nitrous" setup, just a boost control system that outputs a ground signal to activate relays for control of solenoids. This would mainly be used for a "wet" setup as there isn't a way for the computer to add fuel for each stage. I've used this in the past and it worked great along with my FJO progressive.
Now, I am testing Big Stuff 3's nitrous control for dry nitrous. It uses the same setup for activating relays via timers and ground signals, but when each stage is turned on it will add the corresponding fuel and pull out the timing you want via a graph/ramp style setup. Very much like the FAST XFI dry setup. I will be testing the COP (Coil on plug) style this weekend for BS3, but I know alot of guys are already using the distributor style BS3 dry setup with success.
Btw, I am the guy that Nitro Dave was referring to a few posts up.
