Default nitrous set up question's daily driving?

Ok I've been a member on here since 2005 and this is my 2nd Ls1 camaro, I had a 100 shot dry on my old 2001 z28 but I'm ready to step my game up a little and purchased a "nitrous outlet" 102mm plate kit...

My set up will be a TSP Forged Ls6 bottom end with stock crank and ARP rod bolts, piston rings gapped for up to a 300 shot..

I recently sold my PRC 5.3 stg 2.5 heads and got Ported Trickflow 215's..

I have a Fast 102/102 combo going on as well..

I have 2 cams that I'm undecided about, the first is a Texas speed tourqer 2 cam (232/234 .595/.598) 112 lsa

The other one is a mid 230s in duration and low .600-inch lift range with a 114 LSA.

I need opinions on which cam to use, I will be daily driving the car maybe 200-300 miles a week..

Some people recommend getting a "Nitrous spec" cam for best results, and others say get a normal cam specd for daily driving because I won't be using the nitrous all the time..

I plan on going to the track 2-3 times a month, more if i meet people up there and get involved more..

SO which cam??

I also have a NANO 3000 psi setup going in along the 102mm plate kit.. other mods in the coming weeks will be 1 7/8 kooks or ARH headers, moser 9 inch with 373 or 410 gears on a 4000 stalled A4...

If you haven't already bought the motor... would you consider going to a 400+ cube LQ4/9 engine? It's a few hundred more, but well worth it in the end.

I have the TSP tourqer 2 cam 112 lsa, in a TSP 404, it daily drives like a stock LS1 once it's warmed up. The cam is honestly a little small... but a 10.93 @125 pass spinning, in a full weight 3720# car with street manners so good my little girl can drive it is a great set up! I'm going to run a dual stage 300 shot, next year... looking for 9's.

The T2 cam in a stock cube engine is a mild cam, still has nice manners on the street. If you're going to stay stock cube, go with a custom grind in the mid 23x/23x range, custome cams are very compareably priced to an off the shelf.

I already have the engine, everything but the headers.

Carter01 has the TSP cam you have and he ran 9.9 on a 250 shot. I don't know if that helps you make your decision or not but it is a good reference.

At the size shots you plan on running, pick a cam based on the manners and NA results you want. The numbers will be there on spray.

Ok my next question is if I'm planning on driving NA alot, will the piston rings gapped to 300 cause me major problems. I've been searching and can't come up with any reviews on daily driving with rings gapped that much for driving?

Any thoughts? Or personal stories? Pros and cons?

Short answer...no. The wider gaps shouldn't cause any problems that would affect your ability to daily drive the car.

For a plate system I think you are limited to 200 shot so any N/A cam that have the manners you like will do the work

.. I know NO designed their plate to carry more and many customers did it with 300 shot but It needs more than pulling some degrees when it comes to tuning in these cases

You will just need to put a catch can on the car for a bigger ring gap. Which is good anyway on any car set up.
If I was you I would sell both those cams and have one speced for your combo you will be alot happier in the long run.
Also match the stall to your set up.
Saw you had a 4000 stall thats a little high for a nitrous 4l60E. Is that a nitrous stall or just a reg. stall? You start spraying lot and the stall is not made for it you will just wasting your time.
