Default Nitrous guys, quick question regarding compression fittings!!

Hey guys. I just had some hard-lines cut for my nitrous setup and the guy suggested I use compression fittings on the solenoids rather than going with an NPT to AN fitting. I listened to him because he is the owner of this local speed shop and he definitely knows his stuff, so I took his advice. Turned out being cheaper this way too. My question is, you guys think it will be sufficient enough for a 175-200 shot? He assured me it would be fine, but suggested I drill out the inside a bit larger for more flow. What do you guys think?

Here is a pic of the setup (mocked up). Notice the compression fittings on the solenoids.

I appreciate any input.

.

I used the hard lines for years, they actually came in the kit, the max jet was 400 HP
so I hope they didn't sell a kit with lines that would not support it??
I never sprayed more then ~200 hp.
This was many years ago so I don't remember what size the lines were.
I did buy that same kit a few years later and it came with steel braid.

I purchased just the plate from Nitrous Outlet and the hard lines/fittings from a local speed shop. The hard lines are 3/16 and should easily support a 200+ shot. My question is the compression fittings that I have on the solenoids. The inside diameter hole in the compression fitting seems significantly smaller than the inside diameter of the hard lines. Just wondering if there is any restriction there. I will try and post up some pictures.

As long as the fitting inside diameter is significantly larger than the jets, it should be fine. I'm using hard lines from the solenoids to the plate too, no problems here.

Like stated above you should be fine. Easy way to see is check the inner diameter of the fittings. We use compression fittings in all our hardline kits.

Thanks for chiming in! The plate is awesome. I wish I didn't have a nitrous kit prior to this so I can buy the entire plate kit with noids and bracket. Either way, awesome work guys!

Yep, just tested it out with some small 100 shot jets. It hits like a ton of bricks! Feels about the same as my old setup but with 150 shot jets. Definitely happy with the results. My nitrous hardline ended up being a hair too long and the compression fitting sort of bent it at the solenoid, but it doesn't leak. Probably should buy a new lime and cut it to a better length. Thank you for the help!
