who said anything about tr6 plugs? a wideband is a good safety check to get you in the ballpark.

You did. You said "consider a #6 plug" and a NGK plug that is a Thermal Range 6 is a TR 6.

NGK does make a br6 non projected tip plug, but keep the 7s in there.

These are both great plugs and they are indeed tapered to be used on stock LS1 heads and on AFR heads for LS1’s as I understand it. I have used both part numbers with no issues!

As I understand the OP is using gasket seat style plugs on a stock LS1 head? What is the advantage over a tapered plug?

Could that be why they are not showing any heat?

I can go get them if I need to.... Someone shoot me a part number. The place here that would have them is a pain in the *** to deal with. He won't take a stock number.

The br7ef part number is 3346. I look them up on O'reilly and Autozone sites all the time.

Good. Get the plugs in there and post back up when you pull them.

Dont go crazy now. lol. go slow. get the tune right on 1 jet then move to the next. it makes figuring out if your going the right way easier. it was just an example of how it wants what it wants.
