Nitrous Outlet Drag Radial Car goes 8.65@145

Nice work. Dave fwiw, everyone I know that has one of those pin on hatch's on their car, don't take it off, ever. They move the bottles up into the passenger's seat area, do whatever they have to so that thing can just stay put. They also have them trimmed so the upper lip is sitting underneath the roof, kind of jammed in there for lack of a better term... most people also have the wing on the back and they have the struts holding that down as well.
Nice results, damn good starting point!
You're also a nut for running it with no decklid.. how was the stability without it @ over a buck forty five

The hatch seem to be trimed short where it slides under the roof by the previous owner. Going down the track it poped out and the air got underneath it. My body guy is repairing the hatch but we are torn on if we are putting it back on or not. With the 275 classes we are running this year we can have lexan but with the LSX series it can not have lexan.
LOL, I was nervous about taking it down the track with no deck lid. I was worried the lid not being there for down force on the car would cause the car to do something weird. The guys talk me into it and I decided screw it if we wreck it we wreck it. It did not seem to affect the car at all.

Finding a happy medium between different rules does not seem to be to bad but we will have to make some mior changes for each series.

Thanks, Having you, Brian, Madman and His son Steve to walk us through the suspension on over the phone made a huge difference. Its alot different with Drag radials and no wheelie bar.lol
Most I feel safe with on this motor is a 300 shot so no 7s on this combo unless you or Brian want to pull us down the track.lol

Thanks for all the compliments guys....
The tune up on these passes were all on the rich side of the tune up. We have the NGK BEFS plugs in it and timing at 18 degrees. Jets in the bars are a 82N 41F, if I remember correctly.
The most I am willing to put on this combo is a 300 shot. I think with the convertor and gears we have at the race weight we have to be at for the 275 classes we can run some low 5s. For the LSX series we will have to do a gear change and a tighter convertor for the 1/4. If we can get the convertor right I think the car will do some mid to low 8s on the 82 jet. With the LSX we are restricted to the 82 jet.
Brad, Do what I have done since I sold my HOSS. Strip them all down and paint them Hugger Orange! lol

The car is impressive to me, it has normal off the shelf parts and flat out flys for having such a small motor compared to most now days. Its crazy what a difference good engine and chassis tuning can make, there 60ft and et's speak for themselves.

Congrats on the nice passes Dave!
That thing 60's really nice...especially for the small tuneup. Should definitely be competitive in the LSX Real Street stuff.
Glad I could be of assistance.
