Default World record 100 shot gains?

I have a friend that is claiming to have gained 157rwhp/240rwtq on a 100 shot, he has sheet but I wasn't there.... Just seems unbelievable so I figured I'd see if anyone else has seen gains this good. Its a carbed ford 408 with AFR 205s, plate with spray bar and 57/57 jetting. Idk what timming was. NA numbers were 506/464 nitrous 663/704... Just kinda blowing my mind if its legit.

A .057 jet is actually (by the math)... 146 HP shot

Which usually nets about 120 to the wheels...

Really need to know more details, and need to know what dyno, what gear, timing, afr, fuel type and if he used anything else?(like a meth kit)

.057 is not 100 shot so not sure how he got those numbers, there are many factors that effect dyno numbers. Ive seen people on a 100 shot pull between 75-120rwhp, lol. So its all over the place and has alot to do with the tune, temp at the time, mods he has and so on. So cant really take one dyno number from a particular car with a specific jetting and say most cars are gonna pull the same or even be about the same. So on a 146 shot he is pulling 157rwhp more could be possible but another car with the same jetting will probably pull less. Even though i have a 125 shot on my car ill be happy to pull 90rwhp even though they rate a 125 shot at the wheels.

Well with his plate they rate the jet 57 jet at 100hp but after seeing the graph looks like a lean spike to me, because on the bottle it peaked way high at around 4800 rpm then drops straight down to around 90 hp gain and carrys that out pretty much along the na graph... idk the air fuel because they didnt add it on the printout . Its a edelbrock rpm2 plate from what I was told but if you look at the vic jr plate the 57jet is for a 200 shot.. so who knows.

heres a pic of the graph to support my lean spike theory

lol im with you.. its a 157 shot... apparently. people get way too wrapped up in a "shot" number. it makes what it makes. just think how many things can effect power... bottle pressure, line size, solenoid size, fuel pressure, timing aggressiveness, cam design... blah blah

These things aren't precise.. there are a lot of variables with each car. Curious to see what he picks up at the track from motor to spray.

The jet sizing is more of a ball park zone. Every car car is different. Mods have a lot do do with it. So a car with a cam, heads and full exhaust will see higher numbers from a 100 shot than say would a stock block and exhaust. If it can breath easier it will make more power N/A or otherwise. I guess it's possible but I would have to say it's not the norm. I am on the same page with 90-120 HP with the 100 jets. With These engines it's hard to say. I have seen some crazy **** with these LS motors. They truly are marvels when It comes to power.

Some of the high end kits like a Pro Flow plate kit you can easily see gains of 110%. If you have a cam that is geared more towards nitrous your gains will be better. There is a lot to factor in on numbers like that.

On a 75 shot I made 106 more to the tire, but the car was boosted.
