Default A few questions about Nitrous

This is long, sorry. But I figured better to ask them all at once, right?

First question, about how many runs can I expect to get out of a 15lb bottle, with the 5177 kit @ 125 hp? That's a pair of 0.034 jets by the way.

Second, I know the 2000 LS1's have smaller fuel injectors than the 98 and 01/02 models, is this a problem?

Third, at what point is a bottle considered "empty"? I have about 3lbs left in mine and it purges nicely but doesn't do crap while driving. I may have the bottle mounted too steeply, but that's where it has to go for now.

Finally, what is everyone paying for a 15lbs of nitrous to be filled? I got quoted at about $60 plus tax, their vendor apparently charges $4/lb. Is that a lot?

Thanks a lot.

My first question is do you have a bottle heater? If you have 3lps left thats enough for two passes on a 125 hit.

Yeah, I have a heater. Had the bottle at about 900PSI last night, felt like I was getting something but not a "hit". The more I think about it the way I have the bottle mounted is a little too steep, and the pickup hose is probably not in the best position. I'm thinking of picking up a 10lb bottle so I can mount it in a different position.

whats the matter, my kit not good enough for you? j/k <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0">

Ok well anyway, 1st question, don't know.

2nd, I beleive 125hp shot is tops for a 2000

3rd, not empty till its empty, the bottle is mounted fine because the hose is angled to the side of the bottle, not the center, so it is exactly where you want it.

4th yup your beat. All N20 around here is $4.00 lb.

LOL, nah Ray, your old kit is great. Especially when you consider the price I paid for the kit including installation! Are you ever going to give me a price or should I just change my phone number and stop coming around? hehe
