Then... it fell on it's face. Acted NA after second gear, only ran 12.19@113. **** I run 111-112 NA!!!! Nitrous Hits Hard in first and second, but peters out. Bottle Pressure 1100psi. MAFT set at WOT +3,+4,+5 to no avail.

What would stop nitrous from working after ~6 seconds? Where should I start???

BTW- I still can't wipe the grin off my face! Loved every 1.7 seconds of it... <img src="graemlins/camaro.gif" border="0" alt="[Chevrolet]" />

5177 Dry Kit with dual 0.030" jets, NX heater, MSD Window Switch, WOT switch, no Fuel Pressure switch.

Car is a stock engined 2000 Camaro with stock screened MAF. Nitrous is fed into airlid at 90° to airflow on each side.

O2's are crazy. Usually .80-.88 with lows of .3 intermittent EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS PULLING HARD???

MAFT Settings don't seem to affect performance.

Switch jets to 50hp, 75, 100, 125 and gets the same effect.

Seems like the faster I go, the less it sprays. SOmething may be overheating or freezing I think, but I really have no clue.

It hit REALLY hard at first then diminishes to stock HP level.

I couldn't get any dyno time. Sucks.

Do Solenoids overheat? Freeze? Could a window switch cause it?

I only got 2 N02 passes today at the strip, so I couldn't do much experimenting. I would REALLY love to see what pressure was at the nozzles during the runs. Is there a way to check it?

Any thoughts as what to check first?

I know the feeling. I took my 98 w/85 shot and sprayed off the line. 1.67 60', kinda feels like the first huge drop on a roller coaster.

It doesn't have a TPSS, and I adjust the MAFT off. I'll disconnect the Window and see what happens.

The 02 readings are shaky. I don't believe them. I'm not going spray again until I figure the problem out.

I really needed to do some dyno A/F testing but none of our local dyno's had time available.

I think there is an electrical problem, but everything seems to work OK in the driveway.

I need someone to sit in the engine compartment while I blast down the street 0-100mph. Funny, none of my friends have been returning my messages...

I don't have a window switch in my car.. So I could not tell you how to really check for that..

You mentioned this was a 5177 kit. have this exact kit. How did you run the wiring to and from the soleniods? Relay to noids, then where? If your not using a FPPS you going straight to ground correct?

To me it sounds like the problem I had with my FPPS. Mine was miscalibrated..

Next question for you.. Are you turning the car off before you adjust the MAFT? It will not take to canges unless you turn it off. I would play with it on the motor and make sure it is working correct before spraying again.. .80 O2's are going to destroy your motor.

My advise for what it is worth, is get your car to the .92 area on motor before spraying. That should put you around .89-.90 for O2's with a 100 shot. At least thats my experience.

Just a thought but are you sure the bottle is not upside down? dont laugh I mean there is a rod in it to siphon the n2o liquid and if the bottle is not rotated the right way you will get some nitrous but it will go away quickly. just a thought. <img src="graemlins/formula.gif" border="0" alt="[Pontiac]" />

Yeah, I'm label up an about 15° valve up tilt. I bought the kit used, and had a shop set-up the system and test it.

It is technically possible that the siphon tube is mislocated, but when the bottle is full, it shouldn't matter.

The behavior has happened for all passes, and I'm not going to run it again until I find out the problem.

I had my solenoid coil short recently. After a run go feel the noid. Mine was so hot that it litrally burnt me. It would work for a few seconds and then drop.
