Im curious, does it make a difference on performance whether the outside air is 40* or 90* when spraying? The juice comes out at like -124* so no matter what the incomming air is, the N2O is a consistant temp. Does the 40* temp make a difference? BTW, This is for a wet kit.

Air temp helps, but more importantly it is the pressure that has the biggest effect on things. And the best pressures are usually with cold fronts, real dry high pressure. Those are the biggest factors in density altitude...

I see that <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> I just thought that even with the incomming air, the N2O will still "freeze" it since its at a lower temp or something. I didnt know if the weather would affect a car spraying <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

 

There are a lot of things that are affected by the weather besides just the incoming air temp... For instance, on a hot and humid day with a low pressure you are trying to drive through real thick soupy air as opposed to the paper thin mineshaft air on cold dry high pressure days.

With that in mind, using nitrous is like bringing your own atmosphere as far as the engine is concerned... But not the whole 1/4 run. make sense sorta? I'm bad at this explaining thing... <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

I think I get it, Its the atmosphere in the air that is whats important. Thick air as opposed to thin air(cold).

Thanks for the compliment. I was extremely pissed that they had no slip. It showed on the board, but no printed slip. They told me to go to the tower and the tower told me to go to the shack <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0">

 

No the outside air temp doesn't make a difference. With nitrous you create your own atmosphere.
